If Beniers can start first year in the NHL I will complain if he has to sit a year you do the deal no questions asked.

That's an interesting trade but Kakko still has higher upside then anyone in the 2021 draft so I think the Rangers say no

I disagree. Eichel and Cozens are a good enough centers. If Eichel requests a trade, they can get a center back in a trade. If they dont get a center back in an Eichel trade, they could draft a center in 2022 with a loaded draft class

Beniers is committed to Michigan I think so I doubt he starts year one.

Centers>Wingers

Kaako does have higher upside but Beniers is a center which the Rangers need more. In that case, the value evens out

Really? With the way everyone calls him a bust I’m shocked? I’m pretty confident Berniers is gonna play one more year in college.

Eichel #1c
Beniers #2c

Would be hard for Sabres to pass on that.
I think NYR would have to add their 1st

Ok, so I'd do it I mean we lose 2 years of ELC so that sucks maybe they pay like a third for that but yea I don't hate it. Personally I would trade this pick before I drafted someone because there isn't really a lock in this draft to be a super star talent. Like Lafrenire or Wright and Lambert next year

Cozens #2 C is better than Beniers for me IMO.

I thought they wanted him at wing.
In that case, go with Guenther - still, more upside than Kakko.

No, he has been playing center this whole year, even centered a line with Eric Staal for a bit

I think so too. If he does get traded, they will most likely get a center back like Rossi, Byfield, or Turcotte to replace Eichel. That's why they don't need to draft Beniers

If they get LAK best package...could put together an interesting group of kids.

Kent Johnson / Byfield / Guenther
Peterka / Cozens / Kaliyev
Asplund / Mittelstadt / Quinn

Or this. They trade Eichel to Minnesota for Rossi, Boldy + and tank in 2022 for Shane Wright

Boldy-Wright-Kaako
Rossi-Cozens-Quinn
Olofsson-Middlestadt-Reinhart

I may be in the minority now but I have no faith in Kaapo Kakko. Give me the young talented center, and let him develop for a year or two. When he’s ready there will be a spot for him anyway.
