Just exploring too see how Leafs look if Kerfoot is not taking by Seattle and they take Holl.

Is it a good idea to go Sandin and Liljergen on bottom pair?
Where does Robertson best fit?

Holl would be protected in the scenario where we expose Kerfoot. We would protect 4F and 4D in Marner-Matthews-Tavares-Nylander (Hyman is UFA) and then Rielly-Brodie-Muzzin-Holl.

This would be a choice that Dubas has to make obviously though.. I think Holl is 100% being protected though

ulmark probably makes more than $3.35m.

this looks like it could work. you'd use up what left of the cap on filling out the rosters with cheap players.

People keep saying this but as of right now those are the only 4dmen that meet expansion exposure requirements so barring a trade for someone that meets the criteria or an extension then one of those 4 dmen have to be exposed.

Leafs will be OK if Holl is taken, as they will have Dermot as you suggest. Reilly, Muzzin, Brodie, and Dermot (who as shown can play the right side), Sandin and Liljgren plus a UFA such as Bogosian. Think the Leafs are fine with that. But if Kerfoot is taken...the defence is good with Holl as part of their top 4.
You're right Kerfoot, might be the guy for Seattle. Leafs will like the cap space to fill his position. Matthews, Tavares, Brooks and Engvall. Plus a 2m UFA veteran....OK with that.

Either way, Seattle is going to get a competent NHLer from the Leafs, but the Leafs shouldn't worry either

Can I ask you about Robertson?
Where do you see him fitting?
What would you think of trading him other pieces to get a goalie or top 6 FW???

I maybe like this scenario more than the usual Kerfoot to Seattle.

Maybe Ullmark gets 4 million but it's believable that he gets the number you suggested here. Leafs likely don't have a choice and must play Sanding/Liljegren as the 3rd pair so Dubas can fill out the rest of the roster.

Hard to say right now. He looked good when he played early in the season but being injured makes it harder to assess where he plays next season.

Perhaps you got to give him a shot as a regular but if that doesn't work, he should be the first call up when there's injuries next season.

Leafs NHL prospects is thin, and they have traded away a whole year of future drafts so I don't think they are going to trade a cost efficient Robertson. especially if they think is an NHLer.
Gotta think he will get PP time. Not sure if top 6 or 9, but you think his line would need a grinder type winger playing on his opposite wing, like Hyman or Mikheyvev.
There will be goalies available this summer rather cheaply. Now will Campbell and the new guy better than what the Leafs have now?

Might need to be 3rd liner depending on if Dubas can bring back Hyman and who else he can sign to play in the top six.

Here's another question..if Nash looks good in the playoffs, is Dubas able to bring him back on a decent deal?

Nash will cost more then a penny.
Probably cant do it.

Alot of what happens for next season will depend on results of playoffs.

In the playoffs, its gonna put up time or shut up time.

I think Leafs will be forced to explore Campbell but who will be other guy will be interesting.
