Why would ANA make that trade they are awful and need more young talent not to trade it away.

Lmao nice try. Ducks block your number. Zegras is the best prospect in the league. Drysdale is 19 and is playing like our best defenseman. Go waste someone else’s time.

Zegras is almost 20 and well when Eich was 20 he was a captain and one of the best players in the league...stuff like that matters.

Doesn’t mean Anaheim does the trade. This trade makes them far worse in the long term and leaves them with nothing to build around but Eichel essentially turning into a Buffalo situation for him all over again.

This is why an Eichel trade is very unlikely - there are few win win situations - I've seen a couple with LAK and one with the jets - most teams don't have the assets

You guys really have to lower your expectations. You know this is a definite no from Anaheim so why post it?

I generally feel bad for the fans of this fan base. It sucks.

To his defense Getzlaf is their captain. BUF doesn’t have a Getzlaf so it’s pretty easy to name a young kid that is their current franchise player captain at the time.

I do not think this is a good idea. The Eichel trade doesn't make the team better.
The return of Zadorov.....
AND we're paying some one to take a 6mil skinner? So we can have 3mil in dead cap.... With henriques 5.8 and rakell as our top left wing.

Okay cool. That doesn’t matter to the Ducks. They aren’t trading Zegras and Drysdale. Nobody is going to pay that much for Eichel.

They aren’t trading either one of them. I hate that the ducks have both of them. Kings made their choices and can’t fault them. But looking at zegras they may have made a mistake in taking Turcotte BUT we haven’t seen Turcotte yet in NHL but I doubt he’ll have the start zegras did cause that’s the kings luck

All of the Eichel trades we see from Buffalo fans are symptomatic of the ailment: their fanbase recognizes that their team in its current form is hopeless, and exchanging one elite player for three or four is their only way to imagine a return to relevance. But the sad fact is that no other team is going to strip itself of most or all of its top prospects for Jack Eichel. Anaheim isn't giving up Zegras or Drysdale, let alone both; Los Angeles isn't giving up Byfield; Montreal isn't giving up Caufield or Suzuki; Rangers aren't giving up Lafreniere or Kakko, and so on.

Sabres fans in this thread said this deal was too much. They also arent moving him for depth pieces and firsts to fill out the value like everyone else wants. Teams are going to have to give up a top prospect.

I agree that's why Anaheim shouldn't be an option as a place to trade2 but that's what the cost should be.

Looks like Eichel will be much better than zegras could dream of being. Zegras will become a elite player but he isn't on track to rival with the Likes of Mackinnon, Matthews, Eichel, Barkov...
