I’ll take Barron, Newhook, and 1st over Hintz who is a nice player but no where worth that package because Is Honka even an NHLer at this point, and an old prospect. Tatar is very possibly the worst possible addition for any playoff team given the fact he utterly disappears in the playoffs. The bottom 6 moves just block existing prospects. I mean it is creative but the Avs are worse, older and more expensive in this scenario. No bueno.

So basically the Avs lose their captain, their first rounder, their two best prospects, and more for Roope and Tatar? Not to mention losing one of the better goalies in the league for an unproven guy.

Too good to pass up imo. Take it, sign Klinger and trade him for a massive haul, shop Segs, Rads, Esa, Fox, etc. Let Seattle have Pavs. Start collecting picks and prospects. We just lost a year to Segs and Rads being hurt. It’s probably time to rebuild or at least retool
