You... you signed Kase for 3 million dollars... for FOUR YEARS. Dude ya know Kase played like 2 games this season and has been hurt since like the beginning. Anything over 1X1 for him would surprise me.

I know this. He was really good before he got hurt. I think any team taking a flyer on him is either gonna get a big payout or a risk free ltir situation

True, I didn't think about an LTIR situation.

Because GM's are dumb. Name-recognition drives like half of trades. The other half is probably confirmation bias. I'm not saying I would do this if I were Minnesota, I'm saying I would try this if I were Calgary

calgary won't have to take two atrocious contracts to get value for gaudreau, hanifin is worth significantly more than that if you removed stralman's negative value dead weight contract from the equation, and hoglander is like, maybe a quarter of the way to getting you lindholm, there's no way in hell he has enough value to get lindholm AND compensate for 9 million dollars for two AHLers

I value Höglander over Lindholm and possibly Wahlstrom over Gaudreau at this point and cap hit - especially considering both of their next contracts. Hanifin has never really been that impressive.

With that said, its impossible to create a trade on this forsaken website. Everytime I do people attack me from both directions. Its really the masochism that's driving me to continue.

Doesn't mean all of them are dumb, or that the majority would agree to get swindled for the heck of it.

Besides, it's less about a GM being dumb, as it is more about being desperate. Rutherford, Benning, and Poile are all prime examples of that.

I wouldn't trade JEE 1v1 for Monahan, let alone add. Especially given the year he's had, that said I wouldn't mind trading for him though. But your not going to be able to pry JEE from MN unless a far better center was coming back.

What I would consider is this, Khovanov and a 2nd round pick for Monahan, but that's as far as I would be willing to go. All things considered, a center prospect with top six potential and a 2nd is fair value for Monahan currently. The 2nd could be for either this year's draft or for 22's, whichever you prefer.

Wahlstrom would be lucky to turn into a guy who gets as many points as Gaudreau does in a down year. Lindholm is a fringe selke threat with 30 goal potential 1st line centre, comparing him to hoglander is honestly just insulting, hoglander might one day equal him offensively and is only a winger. Hanifin has been VERY impressive this year, the Hanifin-Tanev pairing has been one of the best in the entire league all season despite calgary as a whole sucking. This just makes you seem like you have no idea how to evaluate talent, or that you're going based off of dated information (although these would still be atrocious a year ago so idk). For the record, unless the prospect is a top 3 pick, they probably don't have more value than an established first line NHL star, especially ones that are under 30 on great contracts.

You are beyond joking yourself if you think wild are ever ever trading Joel Eriksson Ek especially for Sean Monahan

Wild don't need , or want Sean Monahan. Bill Guerin doesn't like/ doesn't want Sean Monahan

Yeah, you should

Joel Eriksson Ek is a complete 2 way c, total BBC east whose 1 of wild 3 players to score 10 goals or more in 3rd period this year. Joel Eriksson Ek just scored his 18th goal last night

Lindholm isn't a "fringe Selke threat". His defensive numbers this year is close to those of... Wahlstrom. With worse offensive impact. Höglander is the best player out of the bunch judging by this season. His shooting impacts and predictive numbers are good in both directions. You apparently have no way of evaluating offense other than points and Selke other than narrative. This discussion will never lead anywhere. Stay bad, holding onto your close-to-average players. It's the same discussion every time - unsuccessful teams don't wana part with their players.

If you want to stay good - keep Mangiapane and Leivo on cheap long-term contracts.

Are you unable to process information? I've commented I wouldn't do it if I was GM of the Wild. I think he's *way* better, and has been long before this year. That has nothing to do with this.

Wild gm wasn't willing to trade dumba for Sean Monahan because for a long time he has never wanted Sean Monahan. Sean Monahan discussions if to wild has been repeated a million times. Wild gm doesn't like Sean Monahan

So again, doesn't really matter. For you to make this proposal than get mad when called out is funny

Wild Aren't trading Joel Eriksson Ek under any means, , & you must believe this seriously otherwise you wouldn't have made wild give me also

Or you are trolling

Ironic isn't

Name recognition? Sean Monahan is past his prime according to your post, yet you are sending him to wild, for younger better player, a younger better c in Joel Eriksson Ek than get mad when called out for this bs, unrealistic, unfair proposal , bias proposal for Calgary, & bad proposal for wild.

Funny isn't

I don't know what discussions you have read of Monahan to the Wild?

I know I have been valuing Eriksson-Ek for years, but good to know that its catched up to people once *checks notes* completely unrelated players Kirill Kaprizov and Kevin Fiala has interest of the Wild peak. Just get off my post.

Don't get mad because you were called out for the bs reading you tried to make it

There's been a million post including public news that wild aren't interested in Sean Monahan that has been discussed here, & on the athletic

Michael Russo who covers wild reported this dating back to last summer, & every proposal of Monahan to wild, this has been/ comment that wild aren't interested

I literally said I wouldn't do it. Is this too hard for you to conceptually understand? That I can make a mock of a trade I don't agree with? I was trying to play off of the fact that JEE has less name recognition league wide, but apparently now that other Wild players make them really exciting to watch his value has skyrocketed? He didn't magically become better this year you know, he's been really good for a few years. It's also hilarious calling out my "bias" between two teams I couldn't care less about. Impressive psychoanalysis.

Wild fans like myself has loved Joel Eriksson Ek for years , so no don't act like you are the only one who knows about Joel Eriksson Ek

Wild GM also knew about him. Clearly because teams called about him, & wild gm said no

So don't try to act like you are / or Joel Eriksson Ek is a secret

If you didn't carr why make the proposal then try to defend it
