Time to build for the future

Created by: Pikey_777
Team: 2021-22 Calgary Flames
Initial Creation Date: May 4, 2021
Published: May 4, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This is a bit of an experiment to get the temperature on some trades, most likely hate, which I’m used to on here, lol.

But the idea is to build a very good line that can play together for a year in the AHL, and potentially come in next year as your upgraded 3rd Line.

It also allows us to load up for the 2022 Draft, which I think is a crucial building block for the organization.

This trade would be completed with a sign and trade at $7M x 8 Years, therefore locking up Johnny Hockey for 9 years at a good contract. This should help give Hischier and Hughes with a legit top line threat.

I'm not sure what the move is with Backlund? What's the reasoning there?
