Blues Next Year - Kid Line

Created by: A_K
Team: 2021-22 St. Louis Blues
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 28, 2021
Published: May 4, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
7-3-1:
ROR, Tarasenko, Schenn, Kyrou, Thomas, Perron, Sundqvist
Faulk, Krug, Parayko
Binnington

FYI I'd rather see the Blues keep Dunn, but he seems like the guy they'll move. Also gotta wonder if Walman is playing himself into a protection spot, given that the odds Seattle would take Faulk are so slim...

I've been very impressed with Thomas and Kyrou together. That speed is dangerous. Someone like Kostin who can drive the net would be fantastic.

Are Faulk and Krug normally a pair?

As for Dunn to Devils, I don't know that he would be the d-man we'd acquire with that pick.
Parayko would be better fit, if we had our choice, but know he is not available.

Yeah it's been Krug-Faulk pretty much all season. Parayko was with krug to start but he missed a big chunk with a back injury and still isn't back to playing the no.1 role. I agree with you, highly doubt Parayko would get moved. Dunn seems to be the guy on the block per the rumors, the fact krug is here long term, the 1 yr bridge last yr, the expansion implications, the surprise emergence of Walman, Perunovich coming soon...

Schwartz should not get anything close to 6.25 or 5.5. The guy has average skill at best and will not age well. 3.5 to 4 million tops

i agree. I think we let Schwartz walk if he wants anything more than 5x5. I am open to being Hoffman back since Tarasenko isn't the sniper he once was. Hoffman would not require as much term either. Something like 4years x 5.5million would be good.

Idk guys this sounds a lot like recency bias to me. He hasn't had a productive season but he has been one of our best 2-way forwards for years now. Clear top6 production (1.9 5v5 P/60 over the last 5 season is top line production rate) and great defensively. Clutch goals to get the cup. To get him at 5x5.5 would be better than half the contracts on this team right now IMO.
