Trades
1.
DAL
  1. Koivula, Otto [RFA Rights]
  2. Komarov, Leo
  3. 2021 2nd round pick (COL)
  4. 2022 1st round pick (NYI)
Additional Details:
I'd prefer taking Bellows over Koivula, but I reckon he's heading to Seattle, all things considered. Komarov's added for financial reasons, he's getting bought out.
NYI
  1. Pavelski, Joe ($1,050,000 retained)
  2. 2022 3rd round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
2021 NHL Entry Draft deal

NYI is one of the top teams in the league, but their PP is 8th worst in the league. I reckon there might be some use for one of the leading PP scorers of the league there.
2.
DAL
  1. Miller, J.T.
Additional Details:
Stars are in serious need of a top-6 winger that's able to score. Miller fits the bill pretty well. I'd love to see him donning that victory green.
VAN
  1. Lindell, Esa
  2. Tufte, Riley
  3. 2021 2nd round pick (DAL)
  4. 2022 2nd round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
2021 NHL Entry Draft deal

Think VAN really needs a solid stay-at-home defenseman. Lindell fits that description to a T. He's not that great on the puck, but could work wonders if paired with the likes of Hughes for instance. He's known to back up some great offensive D-men to a great avail. Think DAL would have to add a bit on this though.
3.
DAL
  1. Heponiemi, Aleksi
  2. Strålman, Anton
  3. 2022 4th round pick (FLA)
Additional Details:
Imo DAL needs an experienced right shot D. Strålman's contract is not ideal, but I reckon he could be a good one-year option to play that bottom-4 role. DAL also gains one more Finnish prospect they love, and a pick.
FLA
  1. Radulov, Alexander
Additional Details:
Imo Rads would be a great winger for Barkov. There's experience, they have the language and he's offensively solid. He can pass the puck, shoot really well and he's got some hands as well.
4.

    I like that Cats trade
Only 1 year left on Radulov's deal anyway so we can re-sign Barkov afterwards

Just thinking but would FLA be willing to upgrade that 4th to a 2nd? I ain't completely sure how high they value Heponiemi.

hard pass from the isles. That means they would have to trade one of Beauvillier/sorokin.

Pavelski won't save our PP it's absolutely horrible. I'm confident in saying we could have Ovechkin on our PP and still be near the bottom of the league, it's really that bad.

    Not sure about that
The issue with heponiemi is that he should be a star player right now, ridiculous WHL totals + PPG in Liiga, then we ruined him in our terrible AHL system
Maybe with a change he could become a lot better, I'm just thinking that management believes that they can get him back to his past level in 2018-19

Because the isles don’t have much cap space as it is - adding 3 mill and giving up a 2022 1st makes no sense. Plus pavelski could fall off a cliff next season. The isles two best PP weapons (barzal + wahlstrom) are never on the same PP unit, could be a reason why they’ve struggled as of late..

To be fair it's not like Dallas is a scoring haven either. Pavs is just a god-tier deflector of the puck and probably one of the best in bringing that net front presence in the league.

Point is, you have the play driver in Barzal, you have the shot in Wahlstrom, and Pavs could be a terrific net front presence. I'd go as far as saying there's potentially one of the most dangerous PP trios in the league there.

That $3M could in theory be made with moving the likes of Clutterbuck, Hickey, Mayfield, potentially Ladd as well. I can't really believe that $3M bucks would create a hole so deep you'd actually have to move the likes of Beauvillier or Sorokin because of it...but what do I know.

Giving up a 1st is pretty apt for almost a PPG player who's part retained, while the other team is eating a complete cap dump.

Actually never mind LIdnell is a LHD which is not a need for us so Van would more then likely pass

Anders Lee is a great net front presence. Pavelski is better, but it's really not a significant upgrade, plus Pavelski is shooting 17% and regression to mean will happen next season. There's no chance he'd have similar production playing in the isles system. The isles can just buyout komarov and not give up the 2022 1st.

Don't watch much of the Isles but I watched them play the bruins awhile ago and was shocked with how bad their PP looked. Was refreshing to see a good team with a PP just as bad as the leafs lol

With all those deals at the draft, we will surely need a new GM.

The one we have now is unable to move freekin over the hill vets that produced nothing for a 5th round pick or worse.

Wouldn’t call this a rebuild. Re tool. And if you give Granlund and Martinez term then you’ll have a hard time keeping Klinger and paying JRob, Guri, Oetter, etc

    Core change nonetheless.

Granlund can be replaced with a one-year asset, sure, but honestly there's still $6M left for next year, not to mention Strålman's expiring as well. I don't think money would become huge issue.

I am all about these moves. I think Radulov in Miami is a perfect hockey and lifestyle fit. I am captain of the Lindell must go ship, and think Vancouver is the best spot for him but I am not sure if the two parties could set aside their differences for this one. I guess you're assuming Gaglardi sells though, which I also believe needs to happen.

Maybe I am one of the few, but I think we already caught lightning in a bottle and our best was not nearly good enough. If we do not act now before Benn is a $9.5MM 4th liner, Seguin naturally regresses more due to everything, and the young guys are still cheap, the Stars are in for a long next ~5 years.
