Pretty sure JBB will have to add major sweeteners for Ron Francis to take Ryan McDonagh off his hands. With $6,750,000 left in 5 seasons. I doubt Francis wants to add that much on a player that will be getting up there in age.

I’m trying to be conservative with the trades but idk mcdonagh is still good defensively and they are getting a decent prospect a 1st and a third

    Well said yeah

Especially with his NHL role being more of a shutdown tough minutes matchup veteran poise kinda thing I feel like only a contender would consider it ultimately

At least unlikely Seattle expect go all VGK asap

As a Detroit fan I'm good with the Detroit trade. If he waives that is.

Sorry my bad, Didn't see the one above the McDonagh part where a prospect and 1st and 3rd are included. Never mind he may accept the deal.

The Yzerman factor, Nice prospects coming in with Seider, Berggren and Raymond. He might agree to a deal with Detroit if Seattle passes on him.

They keep Rutta he allows Hedman to be Hedman steady. TB management likes him more than cap friendly.probably pass on Koekoek

If much rather have cernak playing with hedman, espically how it’s been going recently cernak just looks better out their and he’s amazing defensivly which allows hedman to be a little more offensively minded. I also think that koekoek just wasn’t used correctly in his first stint hear

Ya I just needed it to be added like that because if tampa makes that trade while sending settle mcdonagh he can deny it but because he has a NTC not a NMC he can’t stop Seattle from selecting him

Think Rutta is better there's a reason he's not stuck anywhere.

Tampa passes on the Johnson trade. He likely doesn't waive for Detroit, and even if he does, Tampa would just buy him out before trading a top prospect, a 1st, and retain 1.5. Not a chance. Tampa will just buy him out and pay less or the same as this retention outside of one year on the buyout. Having Seattle take McD is the optimal path, but Tampa won't likely give up 1st, 3rd and a prospect to do it. McD is still a top 4 Dman and likely will be for 2-3 more seasons after this. Tampa will likely have to add a little, but it won't be this much.
