IF these trades would happen, Caps would have one of the best forward prospect-cores in the league: McMichael, Robertson, Amirov, Lapierre, Lavoie, Protas.

I agree with Radu47. Samsonov hasn't done himself any favors. But he has potential to be a future top 10 starter in the league. If anything, his dumb actions will probably lower his contract value for us to resign him to a bridge deal for cheap. I think Washington really should preserve Samsonov-Vanecek duo next year and entice Seattle with a pick to take Dillon, that way we can FINALLY start to play Fehervary and Alexeyev and stop wasting talent like we did with Burakovsky, Vrana, and Siegenthaler.

Contrary to the popular defence of "Well you'd want him on your team" regarding Tom Wilson, I don't want that guy on my team. And certainly not at the expense of our top two prospects.

Bc Tom Wilson is literally everything the Leafs would want in a player. Tough with Nylander like scoring ability. seems dumb i guess BUt thats your opinion
