Not sure if you're being facetious, but we can't rebuild now lmao the trade deadline is long gone... But yes, this offseason is rebuild time if they don't atleast make it out of the North imo

we don't need a rebuild we just need to re work the D a little bit! need more puck moving D so they can transition the play quickly to our forwards on the fly.

I don't even see how it would be possible to shift into a rebuild at this point?

I feel like people sort of forgot that the Habs were bad last year. Take into account that, without the Covid-Cup play-in, this team was well outside the playoffs. I also get that Habs fans were wildly excited with the additions this offseason, and the team has actually improved significantly. If you take into account that last season you were 24th in the league, and with the additions this year, you've jumped to 16th, it's a pretty significant leap. Maybe you need to continue with a bit of a re-tool in the offseason, but I just don't see how a) It would even be possible to tear it down, given old guy contracts, and b) Why you would want to.

Add a strong Dman, and maybe a little offence up front (Could just be Caufield-who knows!), and this team likely continues to climb a few spots up in the overall standings.

@Sevenleg-Thoughts?

Pretty good summary man.

However, this team is built around Shea Weber and Carey Price and it's kinda obvious that the ship has sailed. Tyler Toffoli and Josh Anderson are good additions but they are scoring way above expected and who knows if it's sustainable. What could help this team contend is a Shea Weber LTIRed to redirect that money into a top 4 LD. Cole Caufield is living up to the hype so far.
