Expansion draft pick and considerations
SEA
  1. Chiarot, Ben
  2. Lehkonen, Artturi [RFA Rights]
  3. 2021 4th round pick (STL)
2.
MTL
  1. Duchene, Matt
Additional Details:
If Danault walks, MTL has a need for a center. Duchene hasn't succeeded in NSH, but he could work in a new environment in Habs. Also Habs rid themselves from the very risky contract of Weber's.
NSH
  1. Weber, Shea
Additional Details:
NSH consider bringing one of the best D-men of their history back. The Duchene attempt seems to be a failure, and due to Weber's age there's a cap recapture penalty to consider should he retire elsewhere. They could gain a lot by bringing Weber back and ridding themselves of Duchene. Weber's older, but his contract is a year shorter, and risk of him retiring early wouldn't be such a pain in their butt. Who knows.

Interesting. I think this is a no brainer for the Habs. Nashville would probably want a better return. Maybe habs add a draft pick or prospect.

No thanks. Plus the kings literally have no one that can play the right side as good as the guys that’s in the lineup already

Fine. It was more or less under the assumption that one of Määttä, Anderson, Clague, Björnfot could take the 3rd pair RD slot.

Interesting. I'd be down for the Weber for Duchene trade on one condition, that after speaking to Weber he still plans on playing out his contract. If he somewhat hints that when his contract hits 1M per year, he may retire, than Im keeping him. Two more years of cheap salary Weber is fine if he plans on hanging them up in the twilight of his contract. Plus worst comes to worst and he wants to "officially" retire early, we send him to Nashville for a pick and they place him on LTIR to avoid the recapture penalty. Everyone's happy.

I only want Duchene if Weber plans on playing for another 5 years. If he doesn't, it may be better to simply ride it out with a couple more years until he hangs them up.

I don't think I would want Duchene. At least with Weber we have a top 4 defensive spot covered. We already have Danault/Kotkaniemi/Suzuki. We don't need Duchene, + he's trash anyways.
