Romanov is vastly overrated by the habs fanbase. 2nd pair guy at best. Only people who would ever give Romanov the edge are habs fans.

smith is the best offensive d-man out of the 3 mentioned. I think miller is vastly overrated. i watched a few rangers games and he didn't seem something special. but him and romanov are still rookies, so give it 3-4 years to make a proper comparison. but miller has the higher ceiling than romanov imo.

Yeah, I really don't like habs media and don't hide it. But literally every fanbase other than your own will be saying Miller on this post. Romanov has been your #5/6 this year. Not calder level like your media laughably predicted.

As to Caufield, I don't dislike the player. I dislike the leadup. Alex Newhook is making his debut as an equally talented prospect drafted only one spot later. Look at how little attention he is getting as opposed to the article a day about every action Cole did up to and after his debut. If Alex and Cole are the same player, why is Cole getting the hype equivalent to both guys? This is the nonsense that makes me despise the media in MTL, and their fans die on that hill defending their bold takes.

And what about the media who projected Lafrenière as the Calder winner? or Hughes the year before? People had a lot of reasons to believe he'd be in the race after his fantastic performances at the junior level. Romanov is the around 4th best defenseman of a top defense group in terms of goals allowed and you say that as if he couldn't improve as a young 21 dman

Newhook isn't getting as much attention because of the market he plays in. Put him on the Rangers, the Blackhawks or the Leafs and Caufield is still as highly esteemed because of what he's accomplished. I've never seen anyone wanting a prospect to bust because of the media attention he deservedly gets
