Description
Would boston do this if krejci doesn't resign?
Trades
VAN
BOS
  1. Juolevi, Olli [RFA Rights]
  2. Miller, J.T.
  3. 2021 5th round pick (CHI)
  4. 2022 2nd round pick (VAN)
Additional Details:
Asking nicely:

If Krejci does not resign with Boston, would you be interested in JT Miller to center Hall and Smith? I think Miller makers a tiny bit more than what Krejci would get in free agency but puts up better point totals. Both of them have the same faceoff percentage but Miller is worse defensively.

+2nd in next year's draft to flip for rentals and solid d prospect

Would you be ok with Carlo coming back the other way?

We will not be trading Miller. He isn't near the block. There's a lot of Miller trades on this website as of last night but it is not sensical to move him at all.

tbh i don't think we need to pay 5.25 for a 3C next season and if we trade him for better defence we will be better next season. fair take tho, he's very valuable to the canucks

He isn't a 3C. Just fans are starting to use him in the 3rd center position because he has shown that he can play center quite well. His ice time has always revealed he's one of the 4 best forwards on the roster.

Playing him 3C gives really nice center depth, but 1LW seems more viable. Regardless, he's a steal at 5.25m no matter where he plays.

sure, i just think that he's the only player of value we could give away in order to get an elite defencemen in return

The team can't score at all right now. Our defense core has gradually improved with time and we have two nice young prospects in OJ and Rathbone that should fill in the gaps. Myers turned around his game with a fantastic season this year, and Schmidt has come into his own. Presuming Hughes bounces back, this defense core is more than fine.

We need scoring desperately. Our bottom six sucks and our top 6 isn't high end. It's devastating to move one of the 3 guys who we have that can score for a need we don't have.

sure, what would you think of this with miller playing in the bottom 6 then?

pearson - horvat - coleman
highmore/gadjovich - miller - podkolzin
motte - haula - lind

How many more giveaways that directly lead to goals do the 'Nucks let him make before doing something? A half dozen in the last few games ,,,. it's not just last night! Get something for him while he still has value, maybe Devon Toews from Colorado?

Well geeze buddy you really buried the lede there. No, carlo isn’t going the other way. Among the younger core players in boston, it’s pasta, mcavoy, and carlo.

Also it would be really really surprising if krejci wasn’t back. He certainly doesn’t seem like he’s about to retire, and he’s kinda flirted with making it known that if he’s not in boston he’s headed back to europe, so i wouldn’t really think him signing elsewhere is a risk.
