Is this a joke? Dylan Larkin by himself would return twice the haul that Mantha got, Dylan Larkin > Jesperi Kotkaniemi Once again why in the hell would Yzerman want Drouin back and visa versa? Detroit already has better LDs in their system then Norlinder Johansson, Wallinder and McIsaac. 2021 1st round pick Montreal+2021 2nd round pick Montreal+2021 3rd round pick Chicago still need another 1st round pick for Larkin and probably a 3rd one for Bertuzzi who easily returns a late teen 1st round pick all by himself. Yeah sorry any deal for Larkin starts with Suzuki+Romanov+Montreals 2021 1st round pick+Montreals 2022 2nd round pick and add Montreals 2022 1st round pick for Bertuzzi.

You'd really have to overwhelm Detroit to get both like that and with Drouin's contract perceived as negative value by many and the 1st being late... golly... 😬

Also being Larkin being a Michiganer helping it be

More likely he re-signs in DET with the young core

😑 Why would Ottawa decline

Byron off the books for them once cap $ matters

Mysak -48th pick in an all time draft- is way ahead of the curve in terms of pro experience and likely will be an NHLer once Ottawa are ready to compete (~2023)

Failing to weaponize cap space while rebuilding should be something GMs get fired for ultimately

A second rounder in Mysak isn't enough. Mysak hasn't shown much and we're well off at left wing. If it was your 2021 first or an added pick Ottawa might do it.

This is just an awful and unrealistic ACGM post that a few bitter Montreal fans have been making because they didn't get Mantha. Seriously Washington got Mantha because they made a REAL OFFER. It's time to stop acting like whiny toddlers and posting ridiculous ACGMs you KNOW WILL NEVER HAPPEN!

Just to be clear this is directed at a small group of Montreal fans and not at the entire fan base. There are plenty of Montreal fans that even if we disagree I still respect their point of view.

This type of ACGM is so unrealistic it doesn't even deserve a response and ignoring them is what we should do.

This guy always makes unrealistic trades, he always overvalues Hab players and undervalues other teams players. Drouins a no go Lehkonen doubt Yzerman would even qualify him. Norlinder meh Dude needs to add at least another 2 1st round picks extra one for Larkin and one for Bertuzzi and another 2nd round pick on top of what he already proposed.

Using your cap stupidly is another way for GMs to get sent packing. Adding Byron's contract just to acquire Mysak, who I believe will drown in our prospect pool, is a horrible use of cap space. Even Dobber lists Mysak's NHL certainty at a whopping 3.5. And just look at what guys were signing for last off-season! Byron's $3.5M in this cap crunch time could get Ottawa a MUCH MUCH better player. That's why no one touched him when he was on waivers.
