As an oiler fan I like the deal however it is worth noting stalock hasn’t played an nhl game in over a year if counting on him as a back up that could be a really shaky situation should look to have someone there that has played it might be better for both sides if replace stalock with kosk oilers could retain a bit to help fit under the cap he’s going into final year of deal so not married to him but has proven to be a very capable back up.

Somehow the Rangers win the Eichel trade by a tremendous landslide, but looks worse in other aspects... I'd rather stay status quo than do this

Honestly though with all the seemingly locker room issues Eichel must have over there (how can that team be so awful with that roster???), I'm very less inclined to even want to throw the farm away for him. I think the Rangers are building something special with this core. Just needs time to develop and some grit in the bottom six

That and why unload the farm for him if Buffalo decides to move him who else can absorb that contract without sending a bad contract or two back? It’s unfortunate for Buffalo in this case there isn’t going to be a lot of teams in the mix to drive price up that high. I’d take Schneider out at the very least.

The Kupari deal is interesting. Rangers decline the rest.
