More soft forwards can’t be the answer, have a look at last few cup winners and or finalist they all have something the rangers don’t have

How are Eichel, Garland, and Savard soft? Those are 3 guys that are hard to play against. Pekar is a pest too.

The team isn't even soft.

Garland is tiny, eichel isn’t fighting his own battles, and don’t know the other kid. Rangers just need to bargain hunt some size and grit vets. Possibly scour the college free agency ranks and try to add some size and speed to all the top 6 skill. Compare the squad to Vegas, wash, stl, Boston. All larger and more aggressive pieces that play higher in there lineups. I can see a 2c add, but need a cheaper buy low type over a 10 mil hit. Don’t get me wrong I like the Rangers squad and what they are building, but changing the leadership group and highly paid player add, could be more detrimental than good when it comes to cap management and pointing fingers through the rough spots. I like the savard add, but probably could find a cheaper version.

Eichel is big and not afraid to throw the body or even fight. Calling him soft doesn't make any sense. Garland is 5'10, but tenacious on the forecheck. Pekar is a pest and has a similar playstyle to Lemieux. You don't need to be some big goon to be tough. Do you not consider Marchand tough because he's tiny?

It just doesn't seem like you know anything about the players on the Rangers. They have plenty of these larger "tough" guys like Krieder, Rooney, Lindgren, Brendan Smith, Trouba, Gauthier, and Miller. They're not a soft team by any stretch.

Trouba is far from tough, krieder is strong to the net and big body, Brendan smith is barely in the league, Miller is a monster but seems to be a bit of a gentle giant. I just don’t see anybody beyond Miller and krieder in top 6 or top 4 minutes that are tough. But neither really go looking for any trouble. Comparative to some of the successful teams, they are a little light on physical players in there top 6 or top 4 on the blueline. Not sure what the right answer is at 2c, I just don’t see Rangers winning with a 10 million cap hit add, with what is lost for him and future budgets.

No chance Buffalo rejects that. It is a massive offer. Rangers reject it. Take out Buch and it is fair deal.
