Attempting to fix the Sabres

Description
I went full re-build mode on this team.
I made a lot of trades where I flipped players for just picks because the Sabres need those.
I focused on strengthening the wing core which is why I acquired a lot of quality wingers.
I figured adding Karl Alzner and Justin Faulk would be good additions for the defence core. They have pretty fair contracts.
I cleared up a lot of cap so Buffalo will be able to make moves if necessary.
This team is almost playoff ready now and the lineup looks great.

Gaudette for 2 solid prospects I think is pretty fair. Gaudette's value is also pretty low.

For Garlund I gave 2 solid prospects and a high round pick (3rd round)

LA gets some good depth guys

The Dickinson trade I gave 3 solid players for him

Carolina takes a few depth adds for a pick

Winnipeg I gave 3 solid players for an okay guy

Asplund is not a solid prospect. He's an ok young player.
Houser is a 28 y/o goaltender with 2 nhl game experience.
3rd is not even close to get you a top 6 player

Ruotsalainen is better than Gaudette and he has had chemistry on that 3rd line with Bjork and Cozens

Let me first tell you that Houser (age: 28) is not a prospect, and change that 3rd rounder to a 1st rounder and AZ might consider it

Olofsson is better than Iafallo so thats a no from Buffalo

DAL doesnt need crappy depth players

Bryson and Samuelsson are worth more than a 4th

Jokiharju is better than poolman by a MILE

This is what happens when a non-Sabres fan says he’s going to fix the team. He ends up trading quality players he doesn’t know about for pieces the team doesn’t actually need. Most of these trades are simply bad.

I mean 28 yrs old is as young as you get when it comes to prospects. I would like to have Gaudette though he's a good player. Dallas might need some depth players if they get injuries in playoffs.

What do you think about the structure of the team like the lines?

That's no where close to Garland, and Olofsson has all of two years in the NHL, the second of which isn't as good as his first, so we'll keep Iafallo, who plays defense, too.

13 NHL games since 2018 and he wasn't even good then... if he'd be a warm recognizable body for tanking then ok... but why sign him to more than lg min?
