    That CBJ trade, man...

Why would we need someone that's 15 years older and likely retiring after this year when we already have Werenski?

Id rather use that 1st than trade it, no way Anaheim accepts that, even if we were trading the 1st Columbus has no reason to accept that

Move Ryan or Lindholm to the wing and put Dube on the wing

No shot the Ducks trade Comtois at all, let alone to a division rival for that sad of a return. You hope Pelletier becomes what Comtois already is, no incentive for the Ducks at all to do that

Calgary should definitely keep their 1st and Columbus isnt going to do that anyway.

Whats the logic behing trading Calgary's #1 prospect ++ when you want to "fix the Flames" thats a deadline all in kind of move. (Not that Anaheim is planning on selling Comtois either).

Backlund is like the perfect mentor for the rookies, trading him is probably a mistake. He is the reason Tkachuk and Mangiapane learned to be defensively responsible players.

4.5M to play Savard on the 3rd pair????

No team is giving you a 2nd for Backlund. He's 33 with what 3-4 years left on that contract next year.
He's a cap dump, and you'll be paying to move him at this rate.

pitsburgh really dosnt care at this point. they were prepared to give up a 2nd round pick for marleau last year when they made the trade

There is no way Columbus should do that trade, but there are zero indications that Giordano is even considering retiring after next season
