I wouldve love to see habs react this way in 2014

Created by: Taz

Description
Rangers fans, you complain about Wilson's stupid acts and the fact he injured your allstar player. You are right to be frustrated about it, and he absolutely deserved a big suspension!

BUT, don't you remember what happened in the 2014 playoffs? Kreider intentionally injured Price (our allstar player at that time) and he got sweet nothing, habs did react at all and they were so slow on the ice for the 2 last games.

Never saw Kreider being such easily tripped since, he's habitually solid strong on his feet. Plus, I never saw any player tripping both legs with shades on front with such speed. He did absolutely nothing to avoid contact.

i can see your point, however, my uncle is a former soviet olympic speed skater. he taught me how to skate. he also used to play hockey (never pro or anything but played for red army team and has a few old things he used to show me). backck when this happened, the explained that kreider is a big fast guy with power in his strides. the stick got him in a spot where tripping a plauer is easy no mater who it is. he did say that kreider could have turned a bit to avoid injuring both but he was not going to be able to stay on hsi feet no matter what

Moral of the story, people probably did with less places to put their fake outrage on the internet. CapFriendly wasn't even around until 2015, 3/4 of the people here were probably still learning to read.

People are always going to be unreasonably upset about everything, there's just more places to read in now unfortunately .

It looked intentional and unintentional at the same time. Kreider tried to block Emelin's stick with his leg (I've already done that a lot of times and it works well), he was only on one leg and he lost his balance while trying to shoot. He could've gone out of the way, but it happened so fast he maybe didn't have time to react. Either way the Kings were going to win the cup anyway.

boys are we gonna need to bring back the picture for you quebecois children? emelins stick is flexing around kreids leg which caused him to spin out and go feet first. We've explained this thousands of times. 7 years later and you're still crying about it

its shown very clearly in the video, kreids going to the net, emelin swings his stick which catches one of kreider legs since hes protecting the puck while driving to the net, kreids overcompensates kicking through the trip and goes feet first into price. maybe you guys shouldve invested in some defenders who had the welfare of the their goalie in mind before trying to go to the cup final. im sorry you cant cope with the picture of emelins stick being wrapped around kreids leg, must be hard

pic is distorted and in low resoluiton which causes the illusion of being bent. and he was already falling before he fell. there is no way in hell a stick bends that far (assuming it is bent) without breaking. that a 60 degree angle at least

the facts are both fans are true.... emelin did slash kreider legs but why didn't he fall head first if it was tripping??

cause he lose stability after emelin slashing.... but rangers can't handle the fact that kreider have an history of similar move.... the best example is against fleury... while he get push a bit and iniate contact with fleury.

sometimes players can't have 100% control in motion

so maybe dont slash him if hes driving hard to the net? ik he was his only option cause kreids had him beat but he took him down

2012 was so much more absurd lmao it was literally because the devils started their 4th line so hot head torts sent stu bickel to take the faceoff with the nyr 4th line to start the game. speaking of which that seems to be the exact team dolan wants to replicate, a team of grinders with a scorer or two (gaborik and cally)
