Hey at least Smith dropped the mitts with him the second he got on the ice.

But man how the heck can Wilson get fined 5k for ragdolling a star player and cross checking Buch in the head while the Rangers get fined $250,000 for complaining about it?

he got fined for throwing the first punch that’s it, the rest could kinda be considered self defence but yeah he went overboard

Wilson living rent free, love it.

People need to seriously just get over it, in 2 months you’ll look back on it and realize it really wasn’t that bad. Not going to get into it again, but 1 game suspension and fine would’ve been ideal. I’m fine with no suspension though.

I mean yeah he's a goon or enforcer or whatever, but I agree with you, he went overboard there. I know its not the end of the world, but the NHL needs to raise the maximum fine for things like this. Like Nino Niederreiter got fined the same amount for accidentally barely nudging Saros in the head and Saros fell over. Sometimes it is hard to agree with the player safety.

Wilson got fined 0.1% of his annual paycheck. MSG (the company that owns the Rangers, their arena, and the cable network that shows most of their games) got fined 0.016% of its annual revenue. If Wilson's fine was like someone who makes minimum wage getting a parking ticket, the Rangers' fine was like someone who makes minimum wage losing $2.34 between the sofa cushions. Do you think they miss it?

Nino just couldn't injure him angry. This could've made us make the playoffs... I would pay for the extra part of Nino's fine.

Lol yeah thanks for that, tbh that trade really hurt back then but wow has Pionk exceeded expectations and that’s not even factoring in Heinola

Well I hate to say it but it's also cause you guys lost you last 5... But Stars are way better than Nashville, so you guys deserve the 4th spot. And I'm sure Nino would love if you paid his fine.

No sh*t we lost our last 5 games, Bones played Comeau over players like Seguin, Gurianov and Kiviranta. He and Cogliano (who also was played before the guys I named above) were averaging 16 (Comeau) and 14 (Cogliano) minutes of ice-time per game.

Does he know it's not goon time, it's scoring time for a playoff push. Seguin has been absolutely amazing since he's came back. That's messed up man.

I wouldn’t call them goons maybe Comeau, but certainly not Cogs. I could probably beat Cogs in a fight, he really isn’t strong at all. Comeau is just too much of a bender that he can’t stand up straight even if his life depended on it. He falls literally every game, therefore he injures players because he sucks (the EJ injury wasn’t on purpose last year, he just couldn’t stand on his feet). But yeah it’s really messed up, could you sign my petition of firing Nill and Bones please?

Honestly, I’d love to see the caps more. I like Wilson, yeah he has some dirty plays, but I like the hard physical game he plays. He’s the kind of guy I’d love to have on my team.

Haha! Sorry my picture must give you nightmares. Man what a trade for the Jets! Honestly, if the rangers didn’t give trouba that ridiculous deal, it would’ve been a bit better on their end, because as much as I hate to say it, I miss trouba a bit. He was perfect for Morrissey, and when he’s on his game, he’s good.

The trade doesn’t bother me too much and I’ve probably said it a couple times on this site, Trouba was a great shutdown dman this season. I just always try to look at as “we have better defence than 2018-19.” Neal Pionk just gives me shivers because I hated him back then as much as most Rangers fans hate Brett Howden nowadays. He was often tabbed as the guy who passes the eye test but failed at underlying numbers, but he didn’t even pass my eye test.

Happy to see that a former undrafted, fringe NHL prospect has found a legitimate home with you though.

Nobody knew what Pionk was capable of except for your GM apparently, kudos to him. If Trouba wasn’t overpaid by $2.5M it would’ve been a great win-win trade but you guys are the clear winners of that deal now, lol.

I didn’t see anyone getting deliberately injured in that so called “horrific event”

Yeah he’s had some questionable hits, but a lot of players have.
