As a Habs fan i'd want to keep Lehkonen since i like him and we don't have too many natural LW but if we lose Chiarot and Lehkonen instead of Allen i won't complain

Yeah. Figured that Habs might use Lehkonen as a bait to prevent Seattle from taking Allen. Chiarot becomes the pick, and imo Lehkonel+4th is a decent compensation.

I agree with your selections for the most part but here are the changes I would make

It would take more to dump Burns, maybe a prospect like Merkley?
It would take less to dump Johnson and Gourde. Gourde is a solid depth forward so I think Tampa rather give up a first to dump Johnson
Samsonov would be protected over Vanacek since he has more potential

Chicago's not giving up a 2nd, considering Chicago has a ton of cap space. Max we'd give up is Vegas's 3rd

I reckon if SEA asks for Merkley, SJ drops from the deal. It might cost more than Dahlen+2nd+3rd, but I didn't want to go overboard either.

Imo Gourde is the most logical pick. Johnson gets dealt out due to desperation. SEA could milk all the compensation they want. Imo low 1st+2nd aren't entirely impossible options. Brisebois is known to pull the trigger in what is seemingly bad trade, if the end results justify it. I mean WHY DID HE HAVE TO SEPARATE FOOTE BROS FFS.

As for Samsonov, yes that seems likely. But this year Vanecek has arguably been better, they're only a year apart in terms of age and Vanecek's also cost controlled for another year.

It seems a given that should WSH not trade either of them, a goalie pick will happen. Imo both are viable options.

You're gaining a fifth as well. Also that 2nd is added not only for cap reasons, but also to prevent SEA from taking Gaudette or Stillman.

I doubt the Hawks care that much about either of those guys.

I'd wager the Sharks consider that. It's a tough pill to swallow cause that 2nd could very well be like 32-40 overall, but we can probably afford to lose Dahlén and the '23 3rd at the end of the day.

Merkley is a no go (I agree with you it's overboard)

Bowman cared enough to trade for them and long-term re-sign Stillman.

I doubt he wants them to leave any time soon.

If hawks want to keep stillman they'll just protect him over zadorov. Doubt they care about losing Gaudette. Not enough to give up a 2nd in a good draft

I suppose that's possible.

Reckon SEA would take Zadorov for no cost. But I don't see that happening with De Haan.

Please take zadorov. De Haan is the better player and hawks have plenty of cap space to keep him

I saw this from a Sharks fan https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/2376874 which is why I said that.

I think Foote and 1st would be enough to dump Johnson. I wouldn't mind Cal Foote in NJ wink

My guess is that Vanacek gets dealt before the expansion draft. I agree that Vanacek has been better but I think Capitals will roll with Samsonov

It's not impossible that the Jackets go for that Lehkonen trade as it's decent value for us, but we don't really have that pressing a need for wingers.
