    1. Hill, Adin [RFA Rights]
    Additional Details:
This trade is before the Expansion Draft. We take hill from Arizona so that they don’t have to leave him exposed and lose him for nothing. Seattle will pick Allen over Hill (due to experience and being on a great contract). I would also not mind sending Seattle a 4th to guarantee they don’t pick Hill. We then sign Hill to a one year deal for cheap to split time with Price

MTL decline, Weber WILL retired before the end of is contract not Duchene
OTT decline they would want more and MTL wont be welling to pay to get rid of Byron contract
NSH decline the Ekholm trade, no quality going outside the 1st and Fleury is decent but not quality
MTL decline the Ristolainen trade, take out Tuch and it's more fair
    Kulak >>>>>> Sekera
I'm fine with the ARI trade

As MTL, I’m willing to get more speed out of the Weber deal. I’m not bothered by him potentially retiring sooner

Ottawa can have our first, but if it costs another pick, I’d be willing to do it

Nashville might not get too many better offers from teams for Ekholm. I see this as a win-win

Willing to take Tuch out of the Risto deal. Just thought that Drouin doesn’t hold as much value as others see, and the retained salary would cost a little more

Kulak trade is purely for cap space. Trust me, I’d rather have him too

I would rather have Sekera than Kulak, and certainly if we’re retaining I wouldn’t do it. Technically we’d be paying Kulak 2.6 million.

Never mind on the retained part, my point still stands for the other one though.

Imo that Weber-Duchene trade is an interesting idea. People saying Weber will retire before that contract expires can't say this for sure. Why would he walk away from some good money? If he falls of a cliff, he'll become a huge problem for MTL. Duchene's much more likely to rebound...

I reckon ARI is going to deal Kuemper and protect Hill. They don't really have no future goalie prospects, Hill is decent goalie and could take the reins in there. Kuemper has one year left and ARI can't really rely their future on a pending UFA.

Hamilton gets 9M+ on his next contract. Can't see him getting less than Pietrangelo being just as good and 2 years younger when he signs.

Duchene has a much better chance of bouncing back and becoming a 60 point player. Weber is just old he won't bounce back. Upside with Weber is he might retire before the end of his contract but then again he may not. Chara is 3 years older than Weber will be at the end of his contract.

If the Canadians are close to winning the cup I don't see Weber retiring. If somehow they start a rebuild I think the chance of Weber retiring is much higher.

To be fair Weber only makes 1M in the last 3 years of his current contract which is peanuts to him. I don't think he'll retire if the Canadians are cup contenders though seeing as he hasn't won a cup yet.

The Byron one doesn't seem that far off, maybe add a 4th and switch Amadio for like Davidsson.

Nawh, Habs fan just have to stop being stupid. Weber is still our 2nd best defender and is our leader. They have no problem ****ting on him, but don't bat an eye to Edmundson's consistent giveaways or Chiarot's skates filled with concrete.

1M$ worth of peanuts is a lot of peanuts 😉

Idk just always dicey when the D is outscoring the F

Duchene > Weber due to age and Corsi etc.

    But hey it's somewhat interesting

Weber for Duchene is an interesting deal. As a Nashville fan, I'd do it and then trade Ellis.

    Run
    Josi Fabbro
    Ekholm Carrier
    Farrance Weber

Weber would stabilize a young player like Farrance and In a more limited role that pairing should be good on paper. Other upside for that deal is to begin working down the cap recapture penalty for Nashville. So if even Duchene were to have slightly higher value due to age/corsi/etc the additional benefit of working down the cap recapture for Nashville is worth it.

As for the Ekholm deal, getting Weber would lead to trading a RHD (Ellis) so Ekholm would likely stay at that point.

    OTT declines.

5th isnt enough to ask OTT to retain. Melnyk is cheap as ****

OTT also declines the Byron trade.

2nd isnt enough to take Byron
