Sharks fans on this website have ridiculous requirements in trade for Hertl, so much so that it isn't on earth what they want back. However, this is on the opposite end of extremism. Nowhere close to enough.

A first should be a requirement for the deal, I'd be asking for Kravstov too. But probably no more than that. Chytil, a first and Henriksson might get it done too.

Well to be honest Chytil, a first, and Henriksson is basically the same value as my trade imo, but with the second upgraded to a first. I won’t nag or object to you if my offer is on the “extreme” side of not enough, but I wouldn’t have imagined switching a 2nd to a 1st makes a poor offer a good one.

In addition, a Hertl trade needs to take the context of his 1 year left into consideration, unlike let’s say an Eichel trade. He’s a rental in this trade, provided that there’s no extension.

A big no from SJ.

Just have to look at the facts -- check out evolving hockey's advanced stats and charts for all of SJ's players this season. Then check out Hertl's. There's a reason why SJ fans really know Hertl to be dominant -- even in a down year and arguably his worst year points/production-wise -- and therefore so valuable to the team. The advanced stats back that up. It'll take a lot for SJ to ship him.

Plus he and Ferraro are basically the heart and soul of the team, and who you wanna build around in a rebuild or reset or wtv other euphamism DW wants to give wtv the hell it is he's trying to do...

I understand why the Sharks don't want to trade Hertl, but no way should the out of the playoffs Rangers trade their first rounder and more for a one year rental.
