Listen, obviously I'm a Habs fan...but, what the EFFF is going on with Kk? I don't get the kid. I don't think he's that good, sorry. He doesn't have a particularly great shot, his passing is meh and he doesn't go to the net. And he's a bambi on the ice. I really don't see what habs fans like about the guy.

Bc he isn't being given the opportunity. When Danault leaves he'll take his spot and have a breakout year

You have to look at it this way. Are Suzuki, Kotkaniemi and Caufield going to give you more offence then Eichel alone. The answer is yes so it makes no sense to trade away three guys under the age of 22 that will produce more combined then Eichel will. Those three guys are the future of the Montreal Canadiens, just wait and see what they will be when they reach their peak at 24-25.

Unfortunately for the Habs, Kotkaniemi doesn't skate well enough to be a game changer in the NHL. He can be a very effective 3rd line centerman, producing 40-45 pts, but thats it. His skating is really bad and it might be to late to work on that aspect where he is now.

Not gonna lie, alot of value there.

Just not sure we'd move him in our (normal) division

Thank you. It’s the same reason why I don’t want the Rangers to waste the assets on him either. Wed be better off if he just stopped complaining or if the Sabres weren’t utter garbage.
