Just watched Cassidy’s interview, seems like he’ll play at least one of the final two games and then depends on who they face in the playoffs. He said he’d keep your 3rd line together and then figure out what works with the 4th line but isn’t opposed to going with more skill than the usual grit.

I’d guess Kase is an injury replacement on one of the top 3 lines in the playoffs otherwise probably a scratch. Just missed too much time and the top 3 lines have meshed pretty well.

Unfortunately, unless he's a significant force in the playoffs, he's going to be a UFA this summer since Boston won't want to spend 3 mil on such a risk (which is what his QO is)

Ritchie and Kase often played together in ANA. Would like to try them with Coyle if possible. Other option is DeBrusk-Coyle-Kase. 3rd: DeBrusk-Lazar-Kase and keep the current 3rd line.

As long as he plays with Lazar/Ritchie/Coyle/DeBrusk, I'm fine.

The 3rd line has played together for 5 games and they were good but it's a short sample size. Honestly, the bottom-6 isn't set yet and Kase should have his chance since he can definitely help (assuming he's healthy).

I based most of my opinion on the interview after practice today where Cassidy talked about keeping the 3rd line together when Coyle gets back to 100%.

But yes kase and Ritchie were very good Corsi players when together but always left you wanting more actual production with the ducks. I think giving them a shot with Coyle isn’t a bad idea. I just think Kase missed too much time and is gonna be an extra come playoffs.

Debrusk - Coyle - Kase
Ritchie - Kuraly - Lazar.

4th line needs more grit, Kase and Debrusk don’t bring that.
