Dolan Said Rebuild Over

Created by: HOCKEYBOY448
Team: 2021-22 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: May 7, 2021
Published: May 7, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
That’s as fair of an offer I think for Eichel we could make without gutting the rest of our young guys. Not saying we make the deal but Drury has been told the rebuild is over. Honestly Sabres fans will still complain, but the deal doesn’t really kill us. The year after Strome is gone and Barron takes 3C. The other guys are meant for depth and toughness but can still play or rotate in when we need them. I actually really like this team and think it could do pretty well or at least get closer to the playoffs.

    Wait seriously?

All I’m saying is I wouldn’t be surprised if they did some bs like this in the offseason.

Rangers don't need Eichel, they need to round out their back end and let their prospects develop.

This is the typical rangers mistake. Lundkvist is a bonafide stud, Kakko was former 2nd overall with a lot of improvement this past year (just look at advanced stats) plus two first rounders, Chytil and Jones. Crazy amount to give up for one player. Even if you took out Kakko i'm sure Buffalo would still be tempted.

Exactly. This is what they’ll end up doing and regretting for the next decade.

Canucks decline MacEwen is great. Doesn't make sense to move him unless it's an overpayment
