Very well, if you insist.

Way too much for Eichel

Winnipeg would probably take a chance on Ristolainen, but no way they give up a first for him. For a reasonable ask, I'd say the Jets are in.

Honestly probably the most likely eichel trade of them all. I could see rangers trying to add a condition on that second first round pick since kakko is included but this is definitely a possibility if another team tries to outbid the rangers

Fine, im in. Can we not draft beniers? I see reports saying his ceiling is 2nd line center, swing for the fences here with gunther or eklund

Yeah where'd you hear that from? Beniers and Eklund are for sure the 1 and 2 in this draft so either I'm happy with, but Beniers absolutely has 1st line potential and more, elite defensive game, with a great toolset. He's gonna be a stud. He's my number 1 for sure

Could see that, my basis off this trade is that the late firsts are worth less this year, but could see it being a 2022 second, or even a 2021 second and 2022 3rd or some variable of a non first round pick

Exactly what I was thinking, if it happens, it's gonna come down to a bid war, so took the price of 4 first round assets and added on Georgiev for bidding purposes. Also think the Rangers need to give up more because they're in the same conference

I could see that. Anything not involving a first or an A prospect and the Jets are probably in.

If bidding gets that bad we just don’t make the trade and find another way to improve our center core.

In the long-run, between the assets we give up for Eichel, and the assets we'd have to give up to *fit* him, I really don't see any way the Rangers aren't losing, badly.

If you guys think Cozens is a future 1C, Beniers would be a great add imo. Adds matchup potential at 2C in the future so that the Cozens line doesn't get stuck facing all the top opposition.

Yeah, that’s why I’m not a fan of making a trade for him. Damn good player, but not for my liking to add.

If I was the Rangers I'd make a move close to this value for sure, there's no better way of fixing your center problem than getting Jack. Center core would be Eichel-Zibanajed-Strome-Chytil which is filthy, with great wingers in Laf, Kreider, Buch, Panarin. If you have extra assets, why not?

Cause the cap is something that exists and we are done for with that. Eichel would compound the problem (thanks to Trouba and Kreider). Plus I don’t see adding Eichel as a guarantee to get us to the playoffs.
