He's going to be 42 and coming off a season where he got 9 points in 56 games. He might think he can still play but I don't know who would offer him even league minimum.

A contending team would maybe sign him for league minimum and put him on the taxi-squad (if there's one) or the non-roster. If they make it to the finals and are winning they'd play him for one game so his name can be on the cup.

Literally does not matter. People say that all the time but really people put to much stock in the trophy (both in positive and negative light for the winner).

I don’t doubt them; for my most recent help (with a family friends hockey pool) I had to pick Tampa for them in beating Florida.

I love Florida the most as the “dark horse” but honestly I see Vasi stealing the series. I very much see Bob getting 1-2 games and I see Vasi winning any game over Bob. I think it’ll be a 7 game series but I personally don’t see them getting over the hump. Next year with some UFA or acquisition help is when ima go all in on them.

yeah but at the same time what does that even mean? Like do the winners put too much or little stock or effort into the award? It’s just a stat that so happens to favour the L but I mean it’s not like objectively the award is a benefit or negative. It just seems like a “btw these winners usually lose” but I like there’s no reason either way it just happens. I’m not saying your wrong in a sense but more so I think Colorado has a great coaching staff and team and don’t see why they would let this “stat” affect them.

Like personally looking at Colorado on paper their only weak spot is the net, which has looked good this year.

I look at them losing last year and realizing their faults and knowing they could’ve been in the WC finals. Plus Makar is looking unreal. Girards doing fantastic and I love their offensive lineup.

Toronto’s got a real decent path if they can get past Montreal IMO. I like them over both EDM and WPG, and the east teams are gonna have to go through some tough teams.

Toronto's toughest challenge in the first two rounds is Montreal right? I think MTL would be the toughest challenge, especially if they are healthy, which it looks like they will be except for Drouin, and if they play like the 7-2-1 Habs from the start of the season.

Here’s my “hot taeks”:

NYI vs PIT = PIT in 7
- I LOVE NYI as a pick but I’m going with the upset (yes I think PIT is a upset). I’d love to see Barzal carry this team through but I see Crosby and the depth pulling through.

BOS vs WSH = BOS in 5
- Cannot see WSH winning imo. I like them but Boston has a real tough and deep team with Rask back for this playoff run. Pasta, Berg, Marchand. That’s all I need to say.

TBL vs FLA = TBL in 7
- Vasi, Kuch, Stammer, Serg are gonna do work. Coleman, Goodrow, Gourde are a damn fun playoff line and I just think TBL will find a way through FLA but if FLA makes it past them, watch out.

CAR vs NSH = CAR in ?
- If NSH wins I will literally be stunned.

MIN vs VGK = VGK in 6
- A tough draw for VGK but they’ll get it done.

STL vs COL = COL in 6
- Wirh Tarasenko being a shell of his former self and COL
being a Juggernaut offensively, I see COL filling the net. Makar > Krug, Girard Toews >/ = Parayko Faulk, and those dynamic 3 plus Kadri are gonna do work.

EDM vs WPG = EDM in 7
- Mcdavid

TOR vs MTL = TOR in 5
- Andersen vs Campbell is a convo but the real convo should be can Price ever rebound. I love Montreal’s teams but they’re battered and bruised and I cannot see Matthews shot being stopped long term and Marner is looking lethal.

TOR vs EDM = TOR in 5
- McDavid Leon vs Auston Mitch is gonna be a ton of fun but I see the Leafs defensive structure and their quality depth pulling through. Foligno is an UNREAL addition imo plus Hyman could be back by then. I cannot see Foligno, Nylander, Tavares, maybe Hyman being beat by Kailer...RNH..kahun... that’s it lol; EDM needs to eventually go all in because they’re wasting time imo.

- Tough series but I got Boston going deep.

TBL vs CAR = TBL in 7
- I think Tampa will be running out of gas around here. Banged up and likely missing a few guys.

VGK vs COL = Flip a coin, I got COL in 6
- Star power is gonna shine, I don’t see chandler keeping up with Kadri for example and I got Newhook being a scary low key player. Theo Petro is amazing but it’s the new kids Makar and Girard stepping up with Toews and Graves following through.
