Leafs Playoff Lines

Team: 2020-21 Toronto Maple Leafs
Team Explanation
If Nash shows he's good to go you could take Galchenyuk out, but his play recently has earned him a spot opening night.

Torn as to what to do on D, Dermott has been solid for us all year but I think he's the odd man out game 1.

I'd put Nash in there. Gally has been ok. Yeah BOGO will play if he's healthy. Dermott is the odd man out.

Nobody has seen Nash play though is my thing. Going to be tough to throw a guy who hasn't played in over a month and who has never played a game in a Leaf uniform into the playoffs. And yea I'm aware he's not gonna play if he's not healthy lol just assuming everyone's healthy.

If Nash can't play I'd put Giraffe Engvall in over Gally. That long neck should be good for oxygen consumption.

Engvall has had a nice stretch here but idk if Keefe trusts him, and lol yeah that neck is something else. The Leafs have lots of options, 16 forwards and 9 D that could play in playoffs, your guess is as good as mine as to who will be in and who will be out, only time will tell.

Red Wings rookie Sam Veleno has a long neck too. I wonder if he's related to Engvall? Maybe they'll both be in the Avatar sequel?

Hahaha!

On a serious note I think you’re right about most here. Hutton did look pretty decent last night as well. I’m glad he’s a depth option for us rather than Marincin. Engvall, Brooks, and Galchenyuk have all proven they are solid depth options and can play if needed. I am concerned about Nash, no experience with the team and to hop right in for playoffs is a little risky. But it’s not like he’s a rookie. This team has all the right assets to be a contender. They also have one thing different than any other year... the ability to close out a game. Cheers.

Dubas has done a good job of giving Keefe lots of options. He'll mix and match most likely depending on the Leafs opponent and/or injuries. And you definitely don't want to see Marincin playing! 🤣
