No they cant. Sabres dont want d prospects in return for Eichel and Kakko is overrated

There have been about a thousand Eichel ACGM proposals made by fans of the Kings and Rangers. The 2 teams with the best and most abundant farm systems in the NHL.

Regardless of all those different packages, any that are created without any of these 4 players (Lafreniere, Kakko, Byfield or Turcotte) are automatically shot down.

I understand Sabres fans want as much as they can get, but I just don't expect either team to part with that cream of the crop. Still plenty of different combinations of Picks/Prospects/Roster players that could be suitable enough.

The funny part with the kings is that they can actually give up turcotte. it’s the other pieces to go along with him that I don’t want to part with for the price sabres want.

And every trade that is anchored by a d prospect gets shot down as well. The Sabres needs have to be addressed as well, not just giving up whats convenient for the trading team. Sabres fans are not the ones in the wrong.

It kind of feels that way when two completely different sets of proposals getting shot down.

Ranger fans offer up D Prospects with maybe a Chytil or Kravtsov tossed I'm, and it goes nowhere.

Kings fans throw out trades with Vilardi and Kupari (and even a couple with Turcotte) with multiple 1st and maybe something like Bjornfot, and that goes nowhere.

2 different teams offering the Sabres Prospects from 2 different positions, yet none are good enough without those Top 4 guys.

Yes thats because the Sabres cant score with Eichel, and they need forwards now, if they move Eichel they need forwards even more. A 3C and a middle 6 winger isnt good enough no matter what dman they tack on. D is easy to fix, dmen are a dime a dozen, and the Sabres have 5 dmen under 24 years old, its not a concern right now, especially when trading their franchise 1C
