Just imagine 4 years from now Ovie, breaking the Gretzky's goal record, while wearing an Oiler jersey, it'll be classic.

I tried to make a Caps resigning Ovie ACGM and it's harder than fitting Ovie into the Oilers. Surprisingly the buyouts of Neal and Turris isn't too damaging.

I also think Rask needs a change from Boston. A new challenge.

The other option for Ovie I would love to see is if him and Malkin can somehow end up with the Kraken.

At first I was trying to get Ovie to resign with the Caps in an ACGM...and damn that is hard.

The Oilers are actually finally set up to do some damage in the UFA market. I would believe resigning RNH and Larsson would be at the same cap level as their previous cap hit in today's cheaper market. And the Oilers RFA (Kuhan and Yamamoto) would both sign cheap bridge contracts.

Even with the good season M. Smith is having, it's time to move on from that dinosaur.

Matthews wanted $15 million, doesn't mean the players get what they want.

Ovie at 8 million sounds about correct for a 36 year old. Name the last 36 year old to sign for big bucks ? Jason Spezza at 700 K ?

If anything he may get $6 million, I wasn't expecting the Leafs to resign Muzzin at nearly $2 pay raise but Dubas did.

What's the story on Klefbom ? is his career over ? Does he play next year ? If he plays than this ACGM would have to be adjusted to get rid of Koskinen instead.

If Larsson gets 6 million Ken Holland must go. We can't afford that.
