Possible if Turcotte blows us away next season and Kupari does well at wing, I see a future Kings-Rangers trade eventually though, our prospect pools could cancel out our deficiencies.

They probably can do better- if they can get LA into the mix...no team has the quality C prospects which LA MIGHT be willing to part with in this type deal. Because of what Eichel said in his statements, Buffalo loses leverage in what they can ask- unless LA gets involved. I would put a modest offer out there (willing to come away empty if BUFF balks)- something like Buch + Krav + 2021 1st. If LA does have genuine interest, nothing short of a foolish overpay will best what LA can offer. Result is you either get Eichel on a modest deal (I know BUFF fans wont like- but business is business) or you allow LA to bend themselves over the barrel for Buffalo.

BTW if there is another team out there which has cap space, a good prospect pool (for Buf to pick from), and which offers a situation to Eichel's liking- this would also give Buf some considerable leverage- I just think his market is (surprisingly) small due to the cap constraints.
