I rather have Nico, Mercer, and a top 5 pick over Eichel.

For a player like Eichel you'd need to give up a few more 1st rounders

Its a solid offer, I'd like Wood, but Hischier and Mercer are a good base

Not bad... my guess:

New Jersey Devils

Jack Eichel

Buffalo Sabres

Nico Hischier, 2021 first (NJD).

Think about it. My earlier trades for Eichel equal these ones out. Winnipeg offers Pierre-Luc Dubois, Andrew Copp, 2022 first, and Ville Heinola. Hischier equals Dubois, and the first equals their first, Heinola, and Copp. And from Edmonton I did: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins extended (6x6), Raphael Lavoie, Demitri Samorukov, Evan Bouchard, and 2022 first. First off I wouldn’t do it from the oilers because of Bouchard. But Hischier equals Nuge, and Lavoie, and the first equals our first, Bouchard, and Samorukov. My other one was from Washington: Evgeni Kuznetsov, Alexander Alexeyev, 2022 first, Vitek Vanecek. Hischier equals Kuznetsov, and the pick equals the rest. My last one was from Minnesota: Joel Eriksson-Ek, Marco Rossi, Callen Addison, 2022 first, Hunter Jones. Hischier equals Eriksson-Ek, and Rossi, and the pick equals out the rest. My values aren’t the best, but they are better than some.

Hischier >> 1-year of RNH
Hischier > Dubois
Hischier >> Kuznetsov

No?

It’s a little rich for my taste. I’d keep the 2021 top-10 pick which is likely our best path to adding another top-4 d-man.

Hischier, Mercer, and the Islanders 1st would be hard to fit many teams to beat.

Nugent-Hopkins gets an extension in the trade, and the rest is debatable right now. In the future that could be a different story.

Hischier, Mercer and Wood could possibly work too
Nothing more than that though. No picks in that scenario.

Well, no teams are trading for past performance.
But I gotcha.
