I don't think Carolina is in the running for Risto.

The value of the Eichel trade seems about right, but Kempe for Olofsson and Walker for Jokiharju seem to me to be lateral exchanges.

I wouldn’t think so either but it would be an interesting acquisition. As much as I love Hakanpaa imagine the right side with dougie pesce and risto. That is extremely deep.

Now that you mention it, I wouldn't hate that.

Although it makes you wonder how they can do it with their cap space limitations

True. That may result in us trading someone like Nino, Foegele, or Reimer.

I don’t think Reimer is going to be a cane next season. He will most likely leave via free agency. Rather trade nino so that the cap trade off is about even

I hate trading Boldy but as long as Bill Guerin feels confident Reinhart would sign a extension in MN and that he is comfortable at center then I'm ok with this trade.

Reinhart to know makes a ton of sense but I think a better return or more equitable would be Marat, beckman, a 1st and then cap balancing.

Mn from a cap standpoint wouldn’t be able to do a boldy reinhart straight up.

This is a good point that I hadn't took time to consider.

Risto is a lot younger and has a lot more room to grow. Pavs has hit his ceiling and likely will retire soon. I must congratulate Pavs for making an amazing career for himself after being selected in the seventh round. Plus I would bet that Seattle takes Pavs in the expansion draft

Hamilton is as good as gone.

I’d think they’d potentially view Ristolainen as replacement.
