Serious question

Description
Is there a way a player can get out of there contract without the teams permission. Like can they request a arbitrator look at everything and decide if they player is free? Well if there is and Buffalo doesn’t trade him he should try that

Nope, they'd have to mutually terminate the contract and that would never happen with a franchise player like Eichel. Opt-outs are only prevalent in the other 3 major sports. Never adopted in the NHL.

Not surprising the NHL doesn’t give sh*t about the players

No not really, hes with the sabres until they choose for him not to be.

He could do some radical options like he would have to do something like retire from the league and walk away from all the rest of the guaranteed money like Kovalchuk did.

NHLPA would have to file a grievance on his behalf against Buffalo on the grounds they did something not to honour that contract and justify it as a breach of contract to allow him to nullify and freely sign else where....which would be a dangerous road for the NHLPA to head down, which they would never do

Its not like players give the money back if they don't play well. Its the nature of contracts, they kinda supposed to be upheld.

I could care less he’s not needed on the rangers just feel bad for the guy because he has to deal with the sh*t storm that is sabers management

80 plus million can weather most storms, I’m sure he’s got a new squad next winter.

you could file a lawsuit for breaking some sort of agreement in their contract. If you are referring to Eichel that likely hasnt happened yet
