There are 3 dozen NHL jobs.

Granted I do believe the Pegulas need to shell out some cash for some more 'proven' coaching and management options, but I don't think Tortorella is the piece. I'd hope they throw as much money at Gallant as they can.

I'd be interested in talking....but Tortorella doesn't have a ton of experience with young teams and he will also require a grittier team.

Your Sam Reinhart offer is a decent one

This is exactly the type of team that Torts could help turnaround and likes to coach.......I think he is probably already in contact with the Sabres.

With Coleman, Foligno, and Jenner oh yeah....for sure that's his style of team....but those guys aren't here at the moment. I think they should at least talk to him, but they are going to need more physical and two-way players if they add him

Parise isn't waiving ever for buffalo . Him being pissed at wild to the point his agent is meeting with the general manager, & coach is essentially meaning a war literally is about to break out between parise and wild. He's not waiving to help wild

Wild aren't trading Marcus foligno who just signed 3 years extension whose new contract doesn't begin until next year

Kaapo kahkonen isn't going anywhere either.

I have no idea why people think Any of this like Marcus foligno, or parise is realistic

    None of this are realistic

Well constructed trades though the Parise deals are a bit odd. Not sure why NYI want him. Sure they dump Ladd but I doubt they'd want to add that contract in its place.

No to Parise, you traded for him you keep him. His contacts as bad or even worse since it's longer than Ladds. Ladd has 2 years left and we're finally free of the leech.

My hope as well, or keep Granto he seems to know how to make young kids play which is something the sabres haven't had since before Eichel was drafted

He won the cup with Richards & Lecavalier both being 22-23. Those upset Columbus teams were really young with Werenski (21), Jones (24), Dubois (20), Bjorkstrand (23), Anderson (24), Korp (24) etc...

He's fine with young guys, it's more of certain types of players he butts heads with. Guys like Laine and probably Eichel.

Getting Torts in BUF would be interesting to me. I don't think hes a very good coach, but he demands his players do everything even if the fail trying to be "everything to everyone". With that said...sometimes you hit on a couple players that really can excel under torts. This might be a good opportunity for BUF to really press their talent to develop.

With that said...hiring Torts is a sure fire way to lose Eichel. Those two would be like Oil and Water. Torts does put up with players having "dialog" about being a better team. Torts likes to talk about what Torts is doing to make everyone else better because Torts is doing it.

I think Eichel is already out the door at this point. Pegula screwed up again

Maybe. I wouldn't, but that's because I don't really believe in Reinhart's latest breakout - and from a practical standpoint, we've already got a guy who abruptly broke out this year that there may be question marks about next year (Roz).
If this is the new normal for Reinhart, tho, then it'd be fair. I'm just not convinced it is, myself.

I look at it this way. The Jackets have better goaltending than Buffalo. The Jackets keep Elvis which instantly makes us strong there with Tarasov waiting in the wings. I also believe Laine getting to play with a more highly skilled guy like Reinhart will certainly increase his production. Point is those are players I would be ok moving for help at center.
