Boston should stay away from that trade if they were smart. Giving up the much better defenseman in McAvoy isn't worth getting Eichel. Heck, I dont even know if I would do McAvoy for Eichel 1 for 1 to be honest.
Also worth noting, Coyle has a M-NTC/NMC so he won't go to Buffalo in a trade anyway.

Honestly, who does want to go to Buffalo and deal with horrible management? They make Ottawa look nice.

That D looks very thin....
Also, Hall likely wants more money than 6.5 mil, though I'm sure winning a Stanley Cup this year might change his mind.

That's a lot of draft picks/potential prospects to trade away. If this were to happen, I'd suspect Bruins would be in a major rebuild in 5 years, which would be about peak Eichel. Maybe not smart?

If I were BOS I wouldn't move McAvoy for Eichel one vs one

Take out Mac, who is more valuable than Eichel, and it’s still a massive overpay.

It isn't so much that McAvoy is better than Eichel, it's the McAvoy is 5m cheaper than Eichel. So two 5m players can be better value than one Eichel.
By that logic, it's a massive overpay by the Bruins.

It’s also that mcavoy is better than eichel.

And you say you like the bruins OP??? This trade is a disaster. Mcavoy alone has more trade value than eichel.

This trade probably kills the bruins for no joke 10-12 years. I don’t think I’d even watch.
