It would be like mid-high 20ish 1st from Washington for a 7-12 pick from Vancouver. I think taking on a year of Eriksson's contract for that jump and a 3rd would be a fair trade.

Any trade for Eichel likely starts with Larkin, Vrana, Zadina or Bertuzzi, some other prospect and at least 2 first round picks... we don't HAVE to trade him

Remove all of it . Canucks are not sending a top 5 pick away to clear cap

Like I said it'll probably in the range of 7-12 and I'm 9 or 10 is the most probable. If it were top 5 I don't think Canucks move the pick either.

If this is your dream I'm a little worried for you. All most all Wings fans would consider this a nightmare. Detroit can't afford to give up that much for one player and no player Eichel included is worth that much. For future reference you just don't see 2 rebuilding teams trading with each other because they are after the same things.

I disagree. Raymond is an electric prospect along with some other scheme players like Fabbri and Cholowski who is just starting to find his game. I could see additional/alternative picks or prospects like Berggren going the other way. That or if the Ericsson trade didn't happen I could also see Yzerman taking on Okposo's contract for the last 2 years.

Wings aren't trading for eichel, yzerman is preaching patience through the draft and this isn't it. We don't have the pieces to give up for him right now. Raymond is untouchable per yzerman as well.

The loui trade I actually think is good, especially if they can come away with wahlstadt in the trade.

Vrana will get around 5-5.5
Hronek prob closer to 5
Bobby Ryan similar to last year 1
Rasmuesson about 1M too much
Djoos heading over seas and double what he would get if he stayed
Erne about 500k too much
Rather not bring lgd back especially at a raise for 3 years, we would be bidding against ourselves here
Bertuzzi comes in closer to 4
Rather have bernier for that contract than dreidger

As of right now rebuilding teams seem to be the front runner to pick up Eichel already like the Kings and the Rangers. Detroit has had an enormous amount of picks and prospects at their disposal many of which are high end and may be facing a log jam at forward depending on how prospects progress. I think this could give Detroit a true 1-2 punch down the middle for well over a decade. Plus Yzerman definitely can be aggressive if he wants to as he was with Tampa in the past. I'm not saying sell the whole farm for Eichel, I'm saying if the price is right why not go for it especially considering so many older players are coming off the books next year.

Not even close to enough for Eichel. Quality over quantity.

As was previously said, this is a nightmare.

The GM has already come out and said as much. He was quoted as saying we are not moving top picks to move a contract. On the other hand they could use it in a trade like Reinhart for Canucks 2021 first

So I'll say it, if thats what eichel would cost sign me up. Losing raymond hurts but he is a bit of an unknown still and he isn't in the same class as guys like laf or stutzle that we got shafted from. Cholo is nothing, mcaasic is damaged property, fabbri is a ufa we'd move anyways. The 1st rounder in 2022 is gonna be middle of the pack with a healthy Bert Larkin adding seider and now eichel. Im in but buffalo would never take the package.

Idk if that was the package id sure think about it. Raymond and the 1sts are nice pieces but i could live with losing the rest.

Now Raymond isn't a #1C but from how people are talking about him producing like Eichel does isn't that much off a stretch. With the luck the Wing's have in the draft lottery we trade that pick and Buffalo ends up with Shane Wright.

I'm just a bit cautious on raymond. I think hes a great prospect but its a wait and see still. I'm still bummed over stutzle.

Last years draft was a bit rough for Detroit fans but we can only fall back 2 spots in the lottery this year.

There is no way Detroit is better than 5 or 6 teams. Vancouver is a whole lot better than their record shows and Buffalo isn't the worst team in the league. If either team was in Detroit's place they'd probably be in the playoffs. I think the divisions played a big part in how the season played out especially when you only play the teams in your division there is no way for things to balance out. Now I've been thinking about this for the last couple of weeks and at the start of the season when they put together the new divisions I can't say I would've done anything different. So Detroit drops back a few spots in the draft not a big deal with the lottery we've come to expect it. But Buffalo got the worst of it. They got off to a slow start and with other teams in that division it would it was almost impossible for them to get back to even and it just snowballed out of control. Buffalo finishing at the bottom of standings was the hair that broke the camels back and now 2 of their best players want out.

Just to reiterate I think the league got the divisions right with the info they had, no way could predict this would happen.
