Good offer, but personally just can't see Buffalo not getting Rossi in the return

There would need to be another “A” piece in the deal and I’m not sure Minnesota has one to offer considering that their 2021 picks are lower in a draft year where there is more uncertainty.

If Marco Rossi was healthy I would say he’d be it easily, but considering he almost died from Covid, I wouldn’t touch him until I know he’s back in shape let alone count on him the wilds 3C

This. They'd be idiots to not get a good young center in return for Eichel. I honestly think it's a bit too much for him, get rid of Chaffee, Bitten, and maybe even the second and that should do it if you swapped Boldy with Rossi. Still think other teams could put together better packages though.

Ek will make more than that, probably around $4.5M AAV on a 4 year deal. Kaprizov would cost more as well on a 7 year deal, but you could probably get him for that on a 5 year deal.

Dumba won't be going to Seattle.
I wouldn't give all that up for Eichel personally.

And would be highly skeptical of Rossi in the return, it’s not a terrible offer but not quite enough. Rossi needs to be in shape and healthy again and considering he is considered a covid long hauler, I would be skeptical, but if I had to move him, Minnesota or LA or Anaheim would be the preferred destinations over the Rangers and I would take less to send him west over any east team especially NY

The Sabres were also looking at drafting Rossi before they settled on Quinn

IMO all of the prospects in the deal have the potential to be NHL players. Plus what could be a mid first this year and a later first next year are 6 players that have the potential to compete for roster spots and a 2nd rounder who could be an NHLer too. Sabres also passed on Rossi plus he is recovering from COVID so you never know how that will affect him.

I guess it all depends on what other teams are willing to give up. If LA offers Byfield you take that and run if you're Buffalo. But if it's Turcotte from LA and Kakko from NYR... It's a lot more of a toss up IMO. You're right, though, that we don't know what Rossi looks like after having myocarditis. Sounds like the docs caught it soon enough for him to not have any long term effects, but he still lost a lot of valuable playing time for his age. I was really high on him leading all the way up to the draft and I still am, but it would be a concern for Buffalo for sure.

I actually think this makes MN worse near and short team with losing Boldy, Dumba, Fiala, and a bunch of picks. 1 skill line, 1 2-way line, and 2 lines of garbage is what MN's left with.

Swap Rossi for Boldy and I'd like it more from MN.

Well, we might say give us your first rounder and we will leave him unprotected.

Wild aren't going to add fiala then expect that wild will add boldy. That's a big no

Jack eichel isn't worth every piece will have to get / give

No team is going to put themselves @ at disadvantage .

Kevin fiala reduces the add from the. Wild aren't going to ruin their team over eichel

We might but listening to Russo, it really sounds like Guerin will find a way to keep him.

I'd be surprised if Dumba is exposed and a deal isn't in place. The thing though is they really could use his $6m cap hit gone and replace him with Menell or Addison. Ek and Kaprizov have played well enough to need good contracts and Fiala will need a raise too. If they could move Parise and be done with his cap hit, that would solve a ton of issues but short of a buyout, I don't see that happening.

The buyout option on Parise helps next year but the 3 after it's almost like paying his regular salary. Wild could go for the mutual contract termination but then would get hit with about 5 million for the next four years in recapture, same goes if he retires as you know. LTIR would be best but is starting to seem more and more unlikely.

Moving Dumbas salary would be good but I think he might be a glue guy so moving him could upset team chemistry. Not sure what route is best to go with Dumba. Although I would like to see Addison and Menell on the Wild next season.

Going to be a interesting offseason for the Wild.
