If that's all you're offering Schwartz the Blues will match. Have to imagine the Canes (or someone) will do the same for Hamilton.

Yeah, unlikely we land him, just an idea. Think a more realistic signing would be Ceci at 3-3.5 per year

Between the taxes and the cellar-dwelling, 7.5 isn't getting it done for Hamilton to NJD.

Hamilton shouldn’t be the target. Wait a year - plenty of good UFA RHDs next off season.

Overpaying for Konecny. Use some of pieces to find the best young d-man available.

Try more like 7 x $9,000,000 for Hamilton for that lowball offer he stays in Carolina. And Andersen will want at least 2 x $6,000,000 to play in NJ.
