Debrusk will not need a 1st. Dude should barely net a 2nd.

Why does Boston do this? Bear doesn't fill a need and the first is probably mid 20's.

... let alone Ethan Bear, who is worth a 1st on his own. This is one of the worst trades I've seen on this board recently.

3rd/4th line right now. Crazy to have a kid capable of 20+ goals on your 3rd line isn't it? Talk about depth.

LMFAO...i'm sorry but the talk for the past however many years is that the Bruins have no secondary scoring so, no that isn't depth, it's that he isn't actually that good.

Well in that case, the Leafs have two guys capable of 90 points on the 4th line ... talk about depth ...

see how dumb I sound?

Mr Healthy Scratch himself has 5 goals this year and gets paid $4.85M next year. Nobody is giving up assets for suckage.

You should probably look again.

LW

1st - Marchy
2nd - Hall
3rd - Ritchie on pace for 24 goals in 82 games

No room in the top 9 for a 1st round pick that averaged 24g per 82g coming into the year. So what would you call it?

Debrusk had a terrible year. No question. Even if he hadn’t, finding a spot in the top 9 right now is rough, especially with how much he struggles on RW. The Odds are they re-sign Hall and trade Debrusk in the offseason. But it will be for a need. They won’t trade him just for the sake of trading him. Not for a late 1st in a weak draft and 3rd pair d which is what Bear would be in Boston. The odds of Edmonton landing him are slim. There is nothing there of interest to Boston that they would be willing to trade. Lavoie and Kemp would be one that would make sense from a futures standpoint. But that is about it. My gut says he ends up in Seattle. Debrusk along with a couple of other pieces for Seattle to take Moore and send back a d man they select ie. Skjei/Dunn type.

Yes you do sounds dumb lol.

Thornton hasn't put up 90+ points 13 years
Spezza hasn't put up 90+ points in 13 years

DeBrusk put up 27 goals 2 years ago and had 19 goals last year

If Thornton or Spezza were "capable" of 90+ points still, they wouldn't have signed for pennies to keep chasing a cup. So again, yes I do see how dumb you sound.

James Neal had 19 goals last year. Edmonton would retain $1M and do a straight trade, Neal for DeBrusk. Bear + 1st? GTFO!

Pearson and Accairi had more goals than DeBrusk last year 🤷‍♂️

Neal, Benn, Connolly, E. Staal all had 19 goals as well.

Jason Spezza has a 0.56 ppg this year. Debrusk has a 0.34 ppg.
They’re both playing 4th line.
Debrusk actually averages almost 15 minutes a night.
Spezza: 12.

What does any of this have to do with DeBrusk being capable of 20+ goals? Oh right, nothing lol. What other half baked useless argument do you want to bring to the table next?

Scoring 20 goals once, three seasons ago, doesn’t make him worth anymore than an early 2nd. one more disappointing year and I wouldn’t even give that up.

Lol he had 27 goals and then 19 last year.....in 65 games. Even factoring in his awful season this year he's still got a career G/GP that's good for 22 goals over 82 games.
