I don't expect a full blow-up like this -- but I tried to keep the trades fairly realistic in terms of value. Let me know you thoughts.

Id easily do this from CBJs side. But im convinced Borgen is a late bloomer and I'm higher on him than most.

I like Borgen, but he hasn't shown much at the NHL level yet (very small sample size though, so he definitely could be a late bloomer). But with the additions of Whitecloud and Dumba (and already having Jokiharju) and given his age (24), he seemed expendable. If the Dumba trade doesn't happen, then I'd probably keep Borgen and sign a backup like Reimer instead of going after Korpisalo. Or maybe a slight variation of the CBJ could still work without Borgen.

Quite an easy no from Winnipeg. Copp simply has a lot more value than Risto and he is part of one of the best shut down lines in the league with Lowry & Appleton.

Could add a pick along with Risto, but if he's off the table then he's off the table. But I don't value Copp much more than a 3rd + b prospect -- and I don't think that value is far off of what Risto's value is as well. Just giving you an idea of where I was coming from in terms of value.

I don't dislike Risto or anything like that and the addition of a pick would be a lot more fair. I just know how highly the Jets value Copp and I feel like it would have to be a big overpay in order to trade him. Probably a value that wouldn't make sense for an acquiring team.

Fair enough - thanks for the insight!

You lose me when you add Whitecloud too. Krebs and Tuch are already hard enough to swallow but I can get it.

I think Krebs, Tuch, Whitecloud, 1st is Eichel's value -- and then taking on Holden and adding the retention gets them the 2nd as well. But I can understand not wanting to give all of that up. The reason I went with VGK is just because they seem to be a club that goes out and gets what they want. They like adding and Eichel would be a huge add for them -- their first legit 1C.

The Blues are NOT trading Thomas. People need to just put that notion out of their heads.
