avs decline, that trade doesn't do anything for them, they cant take on cap and wont do at the cost of a 1t and a high prospect

Fair enough, saw a different Avs fan make a deal involving Olofsson, understand cap + price, but do think the ideology of just Olofsson in Colorado would work very well. Avs fan gave up more, and took less off that using it as a reference

Fair offer, but Canucks decline. Cost uncertainty with Reinhart

wasnt an avs fan, it was a bluejackets fan BDAWWWGY1. which wasnt a good trade for the avs as Olofsson would be a 3rd liner...so avs spend a 1st Timmins to move a 3rd liner who can play C in compher for another 3rd liner in Olofsson and not gain any cap relief? Doesnt help the avs at all, just makes them worse removing a valuable piece in timmins from the blue line that they have to replace in this trade,

and in your trade taking Olofsson straight up cap, avs cant afford that

I mean fair enough, I stand corrected. Olofsson can be an effective top 6 forward, his 5 on 5 game can be elite if played in the right situation. Only part I can disagree with there, rest are all fair points

Avs make up for the top 9 next year is

Landeskog MacKinnon Rantanen
Kadri Newhook Burakovsky
Nichushkin Jost Donskoi/Compher (1 of these guys could be picked in the XD)

as a middle 6er Olofsson would be a good add but Cap wise avs cant take him on for futures, and moving money in and money out at the cost of a 1st and Timmins doesnt make much sense either.

Olofsson is just a version of Donskoi that Avs already have to play in the middle 6. Nice to have but Dont have to actively shop for those guys

In a vaccum by itself the move doesnt make much sense, but could later on depending on XD results and the cost to extend Landeskog Makar and Grubauer

Judging by the Buffalo proposals for Eichel, I think Sabres fans are gonna be fairly disappointed with any return for Eichel. I don't think you are getting 5 1st round pick level assets.

Canucks proposal isn't horrible if that 1st wasn't gonna be top 10.

I agree, and although the 2021 is a first rounder, but I really don't think it's being considered as much of a "1st round asset" due to how uncertain the draft is, and how weak it is. Was kinda thinking the weak 1st + former 2nd rounder + conditional second rounds out to 2 first rounds assets in value, maybe a bit more to edge out in a bidding war if that makes sense. Also basically every Canucks fan on this site is willing to give up that pick lol, I also do think Sam is worth that and more. Very underrated

Wild decline.. wild aren't going to put Ryan O'Rouke in this deal

Wild aren't going to add fiala then expect that a top d prospect wild just drafted past draft, & signed will be traded in this deal

Eichel isn't worth the value of 5, or 6 draft picks
