Fair trade, but there's a more-than-likely chance that the 2022 pick is still a high lotto pick. That's a dangerous game to play.

You arent getting a top end core player for him. I agree tjat package probably doesnt get Eichel (and that Detroit wont be trading their 2022 1st) but pivks and prospects are where most of the returning value will be

"Could" take more?

Eichel trade looks like Seider, Veleno and this years 1st.

Hence why Detroit is not expected to be in on Eichel. Steve Y never jumped the gun when he built Tampa do he won't now

We never saw Vasilevskiy and a 1st get traded when Boston was selling Seguin. Wont happen this time either

Maybe Raymond, but I think I'd counter with Veleno or Rasmussen. Definitely not the 2021 1st, maybe 2023 instead.

Seider is definitely a no-starter. Could think about Raymond/Zadina/Berggren/Veleno.

tears of joy Yeah, until he realizes that Detroit is a few years away from a sniff at the playoffs, and demands out.

Why wouldn't we be in on Eichel? A #1 center that fits the age and timeline of this team. Steve Y made some pretty big trades like Drouin for Sergachev.

Eichel is still young that he'll be in his prime when we sniff the playoffs. Detroit has a solid prospect pool, great management, and the best facilities in the league. Plus an original 6 team with history. Great cap space with flexibility to bring in UFA's.

Raymond, not Seider and a 22 first, but yeah a lot of other teams are going to try to get him, he isnt going to be devalued

they dont need to get a core top end guy, but the prospect is underwhelming and plenty of ACGMs think by throwing in 100 firsts theyll match the value bar at the bottom of the screen like in CHEL. picks are not that interesting, 1 is fine, preferably next year, but adding more doesnt add much more value.

So just Raymond + Veleno + 22 1st? That seems very reasonable.

Seider is far more valuable than Raymond is. I assume BUF would want a C and a D going back.

I said that package wont get him already, my point was picks and prospects are what should be expected
