1.
SEA
  1. Henrique, Adam
  2. Nickl, Thimo [Reserve List]
  3. 2021 2nd round pick (ANA)
Additional Details:
Conditions: Seattle selects Adam Henrique
ANA
I like Thimo Nickl as a prospect and I think he'd be a really nice addition to Seattle's (expected) prospect pool.
    2.
    SEA
    1. Foegele, Warren
    2. Gunler, Noel [Reserve List]
    3. 2021 2nd round pick (CAR)
    Additional Details:
Conditions: Seattle doesn't pick Brady Skjei
    CAR
Gunler is quite an underrated prospect who fell far in the draft. Foegele is another very good addition giving Kraken some nice secondary scoring and depth.
      3.
      SEA
      1. Chiarot, Ben
      2. Ylönen, Jesse
      Additional Details:
      Conditions: Seattle doesn't pick Allen
      MTL
I love Ylonen as a prospect but Montreal wants to keep Allen as Price's skill begins to fade. Seattle selects Chiarot.
        4.
        SEA
        1. Cernak, Erik
        2. 2023 4th round pick (TBL)
        Additional Details:
Conditions: Seattle doesn't select Mathieu Joseph
        TBL
Seattle gets a reliable defenseman in Cernak (Foote is another option).
          5.
          SEA
          1. Galchenyuk, Alex
          2. Miettinen, Veeti [Reserve List]
          3. 2023 3rd round pick (TOR)
          Additional Details:
Conditions: Seattle doesn't select Jack Campbell
          TOR
Seattle selects Galchenyuk a decent depth player with a low cap-hit and a chance to rebound. They also get Veeti Miettinen, a criminally underrated prospect who lit up Finland's junior league in 2020.

I wouldn't give up Ylönen for the difference between Allen and Chiarot. Let them take whoever they want and if they take Allen, there are other good goalies in free agency

Cernak is way more important to Tampa then Joseph is. Seattle probably wouldn't pick Joseph anyways.

I’m not sure why any of the teams not named the kraken would make these moves. Either the teams can protect the players or they would lose the same players without giving up assets.

Why would we trade all that to Seattle to not select Campbell when we can (and almost certainly will) just protect him?

-Anaheim already bungled up an expansion draft trying to shed salary. There's no need to pay someone to take Rico at this point, since they have plenty of cap space available. Let Seattle take whichever of Rico, Manson, Shatty, Larsson, or Mahura that they want, and move on.
-I'd assume Carolina just let's Skjei go over spending assets to save him. If they're going to put up that much, they might as well use it to get Seattle to take Gards.
-I'd absolutely still take Allen over that package.
-Toronto protects Campbell and exposes Hutch. That's why he got 2 years.

No shot ANA trades anything for a division rival to take their defacto 1C going into next season. As @Lenny7 says there is no need to trade something to make them take Rico, and I even think losing him for nothing hurts the Ducks more than it helps.

Assuming GMBM protects Manson because reasons known only to him, Haydn Fleury is the selection from the Ducks, Ron Francis drafted him in CAR seems like an easy pick

Yeah...With 1 year left on both GMBM and Eakin's contracts, I hope they make a move to replace them sooner rather than later. Another year of Eakin's can only hurt their player development. I'm not going to lose any sleep if Murray gets extended, but if they ride it out for the final year of the contract, nothing good can come from it.

With how Loyal the Samuellis are, and have been to GMBM he 100% will not be fired imo. In my opinion he has earned that right as well, now I would be against extending him as I believe his style is not fitting for a team in the position we are in. Eakins needs to be sent packing the next time he gets seen in SoCal tears of joy I hope Martin Madden is in charge of our expansion draft protection and not Bob Murray

I don’t want to lose Skjei, but it’d be absolutely stupid to pay a roster player, good prospect and a 2nd to protect him.

I'm split on a Murray extension. I'd really like to see them bring someone in a bonified President of Hockey Ops to oversee everything. I'd kill to get John Davidson.

Again just a thought, Allen's been playing some great hockey if not Ylonen I'd be willing to give up as much as a 2nd.

I'm confused why Leafs fans are so quick to give up on Andersen and let him go in the expansion draft. If you have a reasonable explanation, I'd love to hear it from a Leafs fan.

Edit: I just realised Andersen is a 2021 Free Agent. That makes so much more sense.

Would you say there's any chance Tampa makes a deal at the expansion draft or would they just cut their losses?

Now why on Earth would the Leafs do that? How about they just protect Campbell and not Freddy who is a UFA this year. Select Galch and kick rocks, because thats all you're getting
