Brown was added for cap purposes, you can take him out, also if the Kings don't give up 2 1sts then the cost is Byfeild, which I don't see happening.

Precisely, I think the Rangers can do it: If they can give Kakko, Chytil, Miller, the Kings won't be able to match.

The Kings really do have a lot of cap space, especially if the Sabres are picking up some prospects that LA doesnt have to pay out soon

Too much from the Kings, in my opinion. If Eichel can pass medical: Turcotte, Walker, Grundstrom, and 2022 1st, would be my best guess at Blake's offer (Rangers will beat that). But I still believe they will use these assets to try and obtain a top LD, its a huge area of weakness for the Kings.

If Eichel can pass a physical??? His neck is a complete non issue and he could have recovered already. The issue is how he was treated by the Sabres management not his injury.

This is a really, really good offer and very reasonable. I know it's a good offer because it hurts (I'm a Grundstrom and Walker fan). My offer, incidentally, would be Turcotte, Clague, Wagner, and two firsts: the 2022 would be conditional on Eichel playing 61 games, and the 2022 would be conditional on his playing 61 games in 2022-2023 or 122 games over the two seasons. But like you, I'd prefer to see the Kings use some of those assets for a first-class LD. Bjornfot and Anderson just aren't ready yet. And I don't think anyone should be trading for Eichel until the trade deadline in 2022 (my offer above assumes the trade occurs in this off-season) and we can all see what kind of recovery he's made from his injury.

I think it's fair for a team to assess his physical condition with their own doctors to assess the situation after Eichel publically indicated he had two options and the Sabres didn't take his prefered method, it's also quite typical to have a trade executed only after passing a physical to assess any immediate or long-term effects of an injury especially for a $10M all-star who was shut down for 30+ games to end his season.

And this doesn't even touch on the issue that if Eichel has this injury again, the Kings may choose the same path as the Sabres and if that doesn't sit well with Eichel and his agent, the trade talks could be shut down right there.

Nobody buys a business without looking at the books, and nobody with an IQ measureable in three digits trades for a player emerging from a season-ending injury without having him pass a physical.

Youre over blowing the injury to make him seem less valuable. its not a big deal, he'll PaSs A pHySiCaL, and his value isnt affected. Someone like Blake isnt going to worry about an injury with a 6 week recovery period, especially in May

Any GM worth their salt sees this injury and his public comments as an opportunity to buy low, Blake definitely wanted to pounce on this apparently inquiring during the trade deadline. If the Sabres don't get the offer they are looking for from the Kings, then make this an auction during the Summer and go to the highest bidder and lose out on Turcotte. But let's be clear the Sabres are not selling from a strong position, the Kings have the cap space, the prospect pool, impressive center depth, and a team so far from the Sabres division that it won't bite them later. Nonetheless his injury and more importantly Eichel's comments against his organization are responsible for his value taking a hit. If you can get a great offer for him I wish you guys the best, but the Kings don't need this as badly as the Sabres do.
