They seriously need to look into this nonsense with LTIR and fix the loophole that a lot of teams are taking advantage of.... The lightning are literally 18M over the cap lol ...

Yup, but cap doesn't matter in the playoffs. Put stammer and kuch in LTIR, and move down several of those scratches and they still have a couple mil to play with

The lightning are 18 mil over the cap when the playoffs start, LTIR the way tampa used it isn’t a loophole stamkos.rutta and kucherov all had legitimate injurys and all needed to miss long amounts of time

I know how it works im saying that it needs to be fixed lmao... a team should not be able to go into the playoffs with 100M in cap when everyone else only has 81M to play with

It was to be expected with the stagnant salary cap. The Leafs are employing Pridham, probably the best salary cap mathematician, and it shows lol
