Stop saying “we” unless you’re on the payroll. Everyone with any inside knowledge of the organization is reporting that they won’t move Kakko, Laf or Fox. Buffalo’s only leverage is other teams bidding against them and I can promise you no team will offer someone even close to the potential that Kakko has.

No player is available this summer that is better than Eichel. It should hurt a little. Rangers fans have to get real and stop making every player untouchable.

I never said there’s a better player available. I’m saying there’s no chance that a team offers prospects on the same level as Kakko. Just because Kravtsov, Lundkvist and Chytil are #4-6 young assets on the Rangers doesn’t mean they aren’t top 3 in other organizations. Half the teams in the league don’t have multiple prospects at their potential and the other half isn’t parting with theirs, so why is it only the Rangers being asked to?

Ignoring the headliners, the Korpisalo for Risto trade is interesting. Not sure if the 3rd is necessary but either way, you might be onto something with that one.
