I wouldn't say the term is bad. They have a lot of up and coming D. I think they would rather a 2 year deal and then reevaluate rather than over commit to the wrong player.

Brannstrom, Sanderson, Bernard-Docker, Thomson, etc...

I'm with you guys -- this deal carries him straight to free agency. Three or four years would have made more sense to me.

OTT is gonna quickly go from that team no one wanted to play for, to a place people are going to want to be. Strong drafting is going to turn this team around very soon.
